Aout the Role
The VP Finance, Controller will be a key leader within the finance organization, responsible for the integrity, scalability, and performance of the company’s global accounting and finance operations. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role will partner closely with FP&A and Treasury to ensure alignment between financial reporting, forecasting, and strategic decision making.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with the senior leadership team across the organization on key business initiatives and provide financial insight to support strategic decisions.
- Provide financial guidance on contract structures, pricing models, and revenue implications.
- Support preparation of financial reporting and analysis for lenders, investors, and the board.
- Lead global accounting operations and ensure timely, accurate results and analysis of key financial and operational metrics.
- Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including oversight of the annual audit and relationships with external auditors.
- Establish and maintain strong internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures.
- Oversee the order-to-cash lifecycle, including order processing, billing, accounts receivable, and collections. Ensure proper revenue recognition, including review of complex enterprise contracts.
- Manage accounting and reporting for sales commissions and global payroll processing.
- Ensure compliance with statutory, financial, and tax requirements across global operations, coordinating with external advisors as required.
- Support international expansion and evolving regulatory requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement across finance processes, with a focus on automation, scalability, and operational efficiency.
- Partner with internal teams to optimize finance and operational systems, including system integrations and finance technology initiatives to enhance reporting, data accuracy, and operational efficiency.
- Strengthen finance data infrastructure, reporting capabilities, and operational workflows across the finance tech stack.
- Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing global finance and accounting team.
- Foster a culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Scale the finance organization to support rapid company growth.
Requirements:
- CPA designation required, background in public accounting preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance leadership roles.
- Proven ability to lead audits, tax compliance, and complex global financial reporting environments, with strong technical knowledge of US GAAP or IFRS.
- Demonstrated success in system implementations, integrations, and process automation initiatives.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
- Experience as a Controller or senior accounting leader in a private equity-backed, SaaS or technology company preferred.
- Experience with NetSuite and exposure to enterprise tools such as Salesforce, Dayforce, Concur preferred.
