Job Description
Job Summary**
We are seeking a highly experienced and analytical VP, Credit Analyst to join our team at UOB China Ltd. This role involves performing comprehensive credit risk assessments of corporate clients, contributing to sound lending decisions, and maintaining a high-quality loan portfolio.
Job Responsibilities**
* Conduct in-depth financial analysis of corporate clients, including reviewing financial statements, business models, industry trends, and management capabilities.
* Prepare comprehensive credit proposals and reports, providing well-reasoned recommendations on loan applications, credit limits, and facility structures.
* Perform ongoing monitoring of existing loan portfolios, identifying potential risks and recommending appropriate mitigation strategies.
* Engage with clients to gather necessary information, clarify financial data, and understand their business operations.
* Collaborate closely with relationship managers, risk management, and legal departments to ensure credit decisions align with bank policies and regulatory requirements.
* Stay abreast of economic developments, industry trends, and regulatory changes impacting the credit landscape in China.
* Participate in credit review committees and present credit proposals effectively.
* Assist in the development and implementation of credit policies and procedures.
* Train and mentor junior credit analysts within the team.
Job Qualifications**
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related quantitative field. A Master's degree or CFA designation is highly preferred.
* Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in corporate credit analysis within a reputable financial institution, preferably in the banking sector in China.
* Strong understanding of financial modeling, accounting principles, and credit risk assessment methodologies.
* Proficiency in analyzing complex financial statements and cash flow projections.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Mandarin Chinese.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Familiarity with local regulatory requirements and market practices in China's banking industry.
* Proven track record of managing a diverse portfolio of corporate clients.
