Job PurposeThe Vice President, Business Intelligence (BI), Analytics, & Insights leads the strategy, development, and execution of distribution's data vision, transforming raw data into actionable insights that drive business growth, efficiency, and decision-making across all departments. Key responsibilities include building and mentoring high-performing teams, overseeing data governance and infrastructure, partnering with C-suite leaders to define KPIs, driving innovation in analytics, ensuring data quality, and championing a data-driven culture to support strategic goals.Essential Responsibilities- Strategic Leadership & Vision: Define and evolve distribution’s BI, analytics, and data strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and future growth.
- Team Leadership & Development: Recruit, mentor, and manage a team of data professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Advanced Analytics Partnership: Collaborate with executives and leaders in Sales, Marketing, Finance, Operations, Data Science teams, and other areas to identify needs and deliver relevant insights.
- Data Governance & Infrastructure: Oversee data warehousing, data quality, data integrity, security, and the selection/implementation of analytics tools and platforms.
- Analytics & Insights Delivery: Develop advanced analytics (predictive modeling, segmentation), reporting, and self-service capabilities to empower business users.
- Performance Measurement: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and business trends to identify opportunities and optimize performance.
- Executive Dashboard Design: Oversee the development and maintenance of standardized, high-impact executive dashboards that provide a real-time, consolidated view of key performance indicators (KPIs) for wholesalers and leadership team.
- Performs other duties and/or projects as assigned.
- Exceptional analytical skills with a proven ability to evolve and align the BI strategy with business objectives.
- Exceptional knowledge of the financial services industry and Jackson’s products, policies, procedures, and systems (or an ability to obtain this knowledge quickly).
- Excellent leadership skills with a proven ability to manage a high-performing team of data professionals.
- Exceptional relationship building skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with executives and senior leaders in Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations.
- Proven ability to act as a data steward and ensure data integrity and security.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex analytical findings in a simple, narrative manner that influences decision making and drives immediate action.
- Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Fabric, SQL, cloud data warehousing ETL/ELT tools, and data modeling best practices.
- Deep expertise utlizing data visualization tools, such as Power BI (preferred) and/or Tableau, to transform complex data into understandable visuals that identify trends and improve decision-making.
- Proven ability to drive continuous process improvements.
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- 10+ years of relevant data analytics experience required.
- Experience leading a high-performing team required.
- Diverse financial services industry experience required.
