About the RoleWe are seeking an accomplished marketing executive to lead the strategy, growth, and performance of one of our most important brands within Diageo's portfolio. This role is responsible for defining long-term brand vision, driving sustainable business growth, developing innovation pipelines, and leading integrated marketing strategies that strengthen brand equity and consumer engagement.
The successful candidate will combine strategic thinking, creative leadership, commercial acumen, and operational excellence to deliver business results. Working across a highly matrixed organization, this leader will partner with commercial, finance, supply chain, insights, innovation, and external agency partners to translate consumer and market opportunities into impactful growth strategies.
Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute long-term brand and portfolio strategies that drive sustainable revenue, profit, and market share growth.
Lead annual business planning, including strategic priorities, growth initiatives, and investment planning.
Drive brand equity through consumer-centric marketing, innovation, portfolio management, and integrated communications programs.
Translate consumer, customer, shopper, cultural, and market insights into actionable business strategies and growth opportunities.
Partner closely with commercial teams to develop effective go-to-market strategies, customer activation plans, and marketplace execution.
Lead the development and execution of innovation and renovation pipelines that support long-term business growth.
Direct agency and external partner relationships to deliver best-in-class creative, media, partnership, and communications programs.
Establish performance measurement frameworks and use data-driven insights to optimize marketing effectiveness and business outcomes.
Collaborate cross-functionally across marketing, finance, supply chain, insights, innovation, and other key business functions to ensure successful execution of strategic initiatives.
Build, inspire, and develop high-performing teams while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, innovation, and inclusion.
Ensure all business activities comply with applicable regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
15+ years of progressive leadership experience in brand marketing, consumer marketing, or general management within consumer packaged goods (CPG), FMCG, beverage, food, retail, or similarly consumer-focused industries.
Proven track record of leading large-scale consumer brands and delivering sustained business growth and performance results.
Deep expertise in brand strategy, portfolio management, innovation, integrated marketing, and commercial leadership.
Strong financial acumen, including experience managing significant marketing investments, business planning, and performance metrics.
Demonstrated ability to translate complex data, market dynamics, and business insights into clear strategic actions.
Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing stakeholders across complex matrix organizations.
Excellent communication, presentation, stakeholder management, negotiation, and influencing skills.
Proven success building, coaching, and developing high-performing teams.
Strong strategic judgment, creative problem-solving skills, and a results-oriented mindset.
MBA or advanced degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related discipline.
Experience managing nationally or globally recognized consumer brands.
Experience leading external agency partnerships, integrated communications planning, and large-scale brand campaigns.
Experience overseeing innovation pipelines, portfolio architecture, and consumer engagement strategies.
Experience in highly matrixed, global organizations and/or across both local and international markets.
