Join us in designing and delivering the build- and play experience across themes and bring design solutions to life through engaging visual communication that guides and inspires all our consumer groups, kids and adults alike! 

This is a 1 year parental cover.  No relocation assistance is offered for this position.

Core Responsibilities  

• Explore ways to visually communicate a variety of interactive play experiences to LEGO® builders across the portfolio.
• Build on our (non-verbal) building instruction language for interactive LEGO play.
• Mature and prepare conceptual assets for scaling.
• Design and detail a library of new building experience iconography and visual assets for printed and digital media.
• Flag risks and spot opportunities to shape a better holistic user journey.
• Engage in- and ensure progress in cross-functional design collaborations.
• Sharpen and encourage ongoing innovation in the building instructions.
• Engage with and present visual design concepts to key collaborators.

Our key objective is to deliver insights driven innovation. With strong consumer focus, we explore and design new physical and digital building experience concepts while balancing portfolio impact with business value and complexity awareness. 

Do you have what it takes?  

You're a skilled and bold concept developer, with a background within visual communications design, graphic design, UI design or equivalent. Moreover, you are: 

• Super user of Adobe Illustrator and InDesign as well as an expert in bringing visual design from rough mock-ups to final pixel-perfect assets.
• Fast at applying and sharing your ideas while also reacting to occurring needs.
• Experienced with designing (non-verbal) instructions or user interfaces that clearly communicate what a user should do.
• A natural collaborator who proactively asks for feedback and incorporates different perspectives into your design concepts.
• Confident presenting ideas and concepts in a constructive way to both designers and non-designers.
• Curious and proactive in investigating best-in-class examples of visual communication in other fields. 
• Naturally incorporating feasibly into your creative process: designing for scalability and repeatability. 
• Fluent in English. 

In addition, the ideal candidate enjoys the sketching and conceptual phases of a project as much as perfecting the details. Also, it's an advantage being a driver by heart as you may be independently running work-streams end-to-end and bridging with partner teams. Process optimization and value chain understanding are ideally natural areas of interest.
