Job Summary/Description:
KAUZ is looking for a full-time photojournalist to join our news team. We're looking for someone with an eye for news and someone with the creativity to tell stories through the lens of their camera. You must be self-motivated, have good communication skills, and be able to work both independently and as part of a team. Primary duties include gathering video, interviews, and information, editing for broadcast and digital/ social platforms, setting up/ executing live shots, and other duties as assigned. MMJ and producing experience also welcomed, but not required.
Duties/Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
* Gathering video, sound, graphics for stories
* Shooting daily live shots
* Editing stories/newscasts
* Gathering and confirming information
* Writing, editing, and voicing stories for television, web, OTT
* Regular social media posting and interaction
Qualifications/Requirements:
* Associate's or Bachelor's degree in journalism, TV production, or related field; equivalent experience considered
* Non-linear editing experience
* Computer Experience
* Broadcast and print writing
* Ability to lift to 35 pounds
* Flexible schedule with on-call assignments
* MVR check and pre-employment
