The Embark Internship Program contributes to the spiritual, personal and professional development of the student. As the Video Production Embark Intern the student will work alongside the Answers in Genesis video production team, gaining practical experience while making meaningful contributions to real-world productions. This is a hands-on position providing opportunities to develop skills in camera operation, lighting, live event production, drone work, editing, animation, sound, and other areas of video production.
We are looking for a motivated student who is eager to learn, willing to work hard, and ready to contribute as part of a professional production team. Interns will be given opportunities to learn and grow but will also be expected to take responsibility for assigned tasks, meet deadlines, pay attention to detail, and produce quality work.
At Answers in Genesis, we have the opportunity to do more than simply produce great videos. We create content that supports a clear mission and has the potential to influence lives for generations. This internship provides an opportunity to develop professional skills while using those skills to contribute to work with purpose.
The ideal candidate enjoys creating, is eager to learn, takes direction well, and is willing to jump in wherever needed. While video production is the primary focus, students with strong 2D or 3D animation skills may also be considered.
This internship will provide opportunities to learn about events and attraction production in a working environment. This position will allow one to impact others through a service mindset centered on making an eternal difference.

Responsibilities
- Promote the mission and standards of Answers in Genesis
- Create a SERVE culture environment in all work done

- Prioritize personal integrity in all interactions and assignments
- Participate in development courses provided for Embark Interns
- Participate in apologetics courses provided for Embark Interns
- Serve in the attraction operation departments to display our SERVE core value
- Assist the video production team with assigned productions and projects.
- Assist with camera, lighting, audio, grip, and general production setup.
- Operate cameras and other production equipment as skills and experience allow.
- Assist with live event production for records and IMAG support.
- Edit assigned content and prepared organized footage for other editors.
- Assist with motion graphics, animation, sound design, and audio recording as needed.
- Organize, back up, and catalog production footage and media.
- Learn and apply professional production standards and workflows.
- Take responsibility for assigned tasks and complete them accurately and on time.
- Support Producers, Directors, and other team members throughout the production process.
- Maintain a positive, SERVE-focused attitude and contribute to the mission and standards of Answers in Genesis.
- And all other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management
Requirements
- Must agree with and be able to sign our Statement of Faith
- Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ
- Regularly attends a local Bible-believing church
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
- Ability to receive direction and work well as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and ability to complete assignments on time.
- Basic experience with video production, editing, or animation is preferred.
Education & Experience
- Must have a minimum of 45 College Credits
- Must be currently pursuing a degree in video production, film, media, communications, animation, or a related field.
- Experience with cameras, lighting, editing, audio, animation, or live production is a plus.
- Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, or other professional production software is a plus.
- 2D or 3D animation experience is a plus.
