The AV Operations Lead, based in New York, will be a member of the global AV team and will ensure that standards and processes are adhered to and that those standards and processes meet the needs of our global, end-user community. Additionally, this role will be responsible for operational readiness of our video conference spaces across the globe, including oversight of all break fix operations. This role will also work closely with our engineering team to onboard new technology and SOP’s into our production environment. As the operational lead, you will also be called upon to work with AV design and integration vendors to ensure the proper implementation of our standards and ensure timely delivery of all projects.
Finally, this role will be responsible for proactive reporting of incidents and requests and drive analysis of incidents to implement systemic solutions as well as present to senior leadership. Our mission is to provide unparalleled video services to the global end user community, including white glove meeting and event services for Blackstone Executives.
Responsibilities:

Oversee operational readiness of our conference spaces which include routine break fix operations and video conferencing room checkouts, globally.

The AV Operation Lead will be the subject matter expert who will leverage AV design and integration vendors to manage all projects and escalations regarding AV/VC installs, upgrades and retrofits, globally.

Drive the continual evolvement of our AV standards with the goal of elevating the end user experience.

Understand and recommend solutions such as replacement/upgrade of existing hardware, software, applications, self-help guides, process improvements, knowledge base, etc. to eliminate incidents and service requests.

Ensure consistency across all legacy and new AV spaces, updating configuration/deployment guides when needed.

Experience working with metrics and analyzing KPIs to make data driven decisions.

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, AV Engineering or related field and/or minimum 7+ years’ experience in AV Engineering supporting Video Conferencing and Audio Conferencing, Audio Mixing and Room Audio Tuning Ability to work under tight deadlines and make quick decisions.

Infocom/AVIXA CTS-I or CTS-D certification strongly preferred.

Experience with Biamp DSP’s, AMX video switchers, AMX controllers, Shure mic arrays
-
Experience performing audio tuning for video conferencing spaces.

Experience working in a dynamic environment.

Solid knowledge of Industry standards in AV systems design and integration
-
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to perform advanced troubleshooting on Audio/Video devices.

3+ years’ experience with collaboration platforms such as Zoom, MS Teams, Webex and Web RTC products with mastery of a Zoom environment strongly preferred.

5+ years’ experience troubleshooting for Mac, Linux, Windows, related to Video Conferencing
-
Strong time management and organizational skills with exceptional attention to details.

Interpersonal skills necessary to interact, work productively and collaboratively with other departments within Blackstone.

Ability to develop relationships with senior leaders to properly set expectations for projects, provide timely information, report on outages/issues and shape end-user behavior.
Work Requirements:

This position is based in New York and it is required to be in the office 5 days per week with occasional weekend or after hour work required.

Expected annual base salary range:
$125,000 - $185,000
Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.
Additional compensation: Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits offered in connection with the advertised role.
