The Role

Who are We?

Intersection is an experience-driven Out of Home media and technology company that delivers programming, consumer amenities, and advertising to cities. From free internet access to way-finding to real-time information, our products make city life easier and more sustainable. We further enrich cities with experiential programming that inspires and engages people throughout their day. With valuable, diverse audiences in America’s top cities, we provide innovative, data-driven solutions for brands to reach urbanites at scale.

What is the role?

Intersection is seeking an experienced Mid-level Video & Motion Graphics Designer (Producer-Editor) to lead in-house creation of high-end multimedia projects that support the company’s marketing efforts. As a key member of the Marketing and Creative team, this role will be responsible for producing cinematic-quality videos and motion graphics content, managing a multitude of projects from concept to final production.

The candidate will work on a variety of projects (in order of priority,) including recap videos for client campaigns, internal brand videos, social media content, and light animations for client advertising campaigns—ensuring all work aligns with Intersection’s creative standards and strategic goals.

In the first three months, you will:

  • Establish yourself as the go-to expert for video production, quickly adapting to Intersection’s brand and creative guidelines.
  • Collaborate with marketing managers, photographers, and external partners to deliver standout video and motion graphics assets.
  • Build a thorough understanding of our media products and how they integrate into the broader advertising landscape.
  • Take ownership of campaign recap video shoots, coordinating logistics, providing art direction to photographers, and producing engaging, highly-shareable video content that wows our clients and excites our sellers.
  • Organize and maintain a well-structured video asset library, ensuring all content is easily accessible and up to date.

Within the first year, you will:

  • Lead video innovation efforts by proactively introducing new storytelling techniques, motion design trends, and cutting-edge production methods to elevate the quality and creativity of Intersection's video content.
  • Collaborate closely with the Creative Director to develop and execute a cohesive video strategy that aligns with the Intersection brand, ensuring that all video content reflects the company’s vision, values, and creative standards.
  • Bring the Intersection brand to life through video, producing high-impact brand videos and client content that captivate audiences and set Intersection apart in the OOH advertising space.
  • Experiment with new formats and technologies, such as 3D animation, interactive video, or AR/VR, to continuously innovate and keep the brand at the forefront of the industry.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and product, to create compelling video content that supports key initiatives and enhances Intersection’s media offerings.
  • Develop video templates and toolkits that streamline production while maintaining creative excellence, ensuring consistency across all video content.
  • Own and manage several perennial video projects from start to finish, breathing new life into existing content by reimagining and updating videos to ensure they stay fresh, engaging, and aligned with current creative trends and brand messaging.

You’re a fit for this role because:

  • You have 3-5 years of experience in a video production or motion graphics design role, with a strong portfolio showcasing cinematic-quality work for clients.
  • You have a keen eye for storytelling, capable of interpreting creative briefs and visualizing concepts that resonate with advertiser and creative agency audiences. You translate ideas into compelling narratives through your animations and video content, ensuring that each piece effectively communicates the intended message.
  • You’re an expert in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator) with advanced knowledge of video editing, motion graphics, and post-production workflows. Additionally, familiarity with other industry-standard software such as Final Cut Pro, Cinema 4D, or DaVinci Resolve is a plus. You should also have a strong understanding of audio editing software (e.g., Audacity or Adobe Audition), color grading techniques, and file management systems to ensure efficient workflow and project organization.
  • You bring strong producer skills, including experience coordinating shoots, directing talent and crew, and overseeing production logistics.
  • You have a solid understanding of color grading, sound design, and advanced compositing, with the ability to create polished, professional video content.
  • You’re highly skilled in project management, capable of managing multiple projects from start to finish, ensuring they’re delivered on time and within budget.
  • You have experience creating straightforward animations for digital advertisements, ensuring content aligns with brand standards and campaign goals.
  • You have strong communication skills and are comfortable working with both internal teams and clients to gather briefs and provide expert guidance on video production.
  • You thrive in fast-paced environments, juggling multiple projects while maintaining a high standard of quality and meeting tight deadlines.
  • You have a passion for advertising and understand how high-quality video content can elevate a brand and drive successful campaigns.
  • Experience with 3D tools (Cinema 4D, Blender) and a solid understanding of video equipment (cameras, lighting, audio gear) are a strong plus.

 Compensation: $60-75k
