The Video Learning Content Creator is responsible for conceptualizing, scripting, and producing learning video content that enhances understanding, engagement, and behavior change across both bancassurance (Manulife China Bank Life Assurance Corporation) and agency (Manulife Philippines) distribution channels. The role focuses on storytelling, visual learning, and message clarity through short‑form and long‑form instructional videos for use in blended, virtual, and self‑paced programs. While specialized in video contents, the role follows shared instructional standards to ensure consistency and continuity within the Digital Learning Team.
This position requires advanced expertise, independent judgment, cross-functional collaboration, and ownership of end-to-end module lifecycle management.
Position Responsibilities:
End-to-End Video Content Development: Conceptualize and design learning video flows (explainer, scenario‑based, demonstration, or role‑play) that are aligned with instructional objectives, translating complex insurance and sales concepts into clear visual narratives. This includes scripting, storyboarding,
Multimedia Production: Create multimedia learning materials, including interactive simulations, e-books, infographics, and game-based courses, and finds ways to create different types of instructional media that are used within the designated learning environment
E-Learning Production: Utilize multimedia tools and software to develop engaging e-learning materials, incorporating graphics, animations, and interactive elements
Project Management: Adhere to project timelines outlined by the project lead/manager, do a presentation and application of innovative learning media within a specified period
Content Innovation, Utilization, and Engagement Management: Find creative and engaging methods to create a digital learning environment for the Distribution team; Monitors performance of the consumption of digital learning content and adjust accordingly to improve experience and utilization
Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with SMEs, Compliance, and Business Leads for content validation and adherence to standards and guidelines
Cross-Project Support: Cross-support with fellow learning content creator and align with Module Developer to ensure smooth handoff
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Multimedia Arts or any related field
At least 5 years of experience in Insurance training, Instructional design, and Digital learning production or coordination.
Has a solid grasp of visual design principles; knowledge of e-learning development/interaction levels; knowledge of Bloom's Taxonomy of Learning Domains (or Anderson and Krathwohl's); knowledge of Mayer's 12 Principles of Multimedia Learning.
Proficient in creating static and motion graphics using Adobe Creative Cloud programs (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere, Edge Animate, etc.), Canva, Vimeo.
Competence in developing instructional media with at least one e-learning authoring tool (Adobe Captivate and Articulate Storyline/Rise preferred)
- Competence in using artificial intelligence in both digital content development and learner engagement
Preferred Qualifications:
Expertise in authoring tools such as Adobe Captivate, Articulate Storyline and Rise that can assemble contents to different e-learning modules or presentations, including scripting, content development, quality assessment, and deployment.
Ability to use artificial intelligence (AI) in both development of digital contents and integration within the learner development path.
Deep knowledge of insurance business, products, operations, and field practices
Collaborates effectively with the team as well as internal, and external stakeholders
Possesses a sense of ownership, accountability, and commitment to the work being developed and delivered
Comfortable with fast-changing technology trends and evolution of strategic priorities and needs of customers, the business, and our partners
