We help consumers make confident decisions — and we're looking for people who care about getting that right.
The Role
Leads an in-house video pod producing paid ads, organic social content, and lifecycle videos across multiple platforms. Owns video strategy, content calendars, asset libraries, creative testing, performance analysis, team coaching, editing, studio setup, and external editor management. Develops repeatable workflows and playbooks while collaborating with editorial, SEO, PR, paid media, and lifecycle teams.
Summary Generated by Built In

We're looking for an energetic, creative and focused AI Native Video Content Lead to build and run our first in-house video pod. You'll lead a small team (an on-camera host and script writer, plus a video producer, backed by outside editors) out of a dedicated space in our Tulsa office.

The pod's job is to build everything a category needs on video: paid ad creative, organic social content for YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and Reddit, and lifecycle content for email, retargeting and onsite journeys. Paid and lifecycle content is what makes the numbers work, so you need to be as comfortable with ad creative and conversion as you are with views and engagement.

This is a pilot. We're starting with one pod and plan to scale the model across more categories once it works. The right person brings viral ideas, knows the formats cold, can jump in and edit when needed, and makes sure every video has a home and a hook before anyone hits record. If you want to grow into leading a larger video team, this is the ground floor.

Note- This is an in office position. Only local candidate to Tulsa will be considered.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Run the pod day to day: own the content calendar, set priorities and keep output moving
  • Own the video strategy for the category across paid, organic social and lifecycle
  • Build out each category's full asset library: finished videos, b-roll, GIFs and images ready for paid, content and lifecycle
  • Produce and test paid ad creative (hooks, variants, lengths) with the paid media team, and iterate based on results
  • Create video for lifecycle touchpoints (email, retargeting, onsite) with the lifecycle team
  • Bring a steady pipeline of video ideas based on what's working on YouTube, Shorts, TikTok, Reels and Reddit
  • Make sure every video has a clear home (platform and format) and a hook before it goes to script
  • Supervise and coach the host/script writer and video producer in person; review scripts, storyboards and cuts
  • Edit when needed, from quick social cut-downs to final polish
  • Work with the video producer to set up the Tulsa studio and manage our bench of outside editors (Upwork)
  • Track performance weekly across organic, paid and lifecycle; cut what isn't working and double down on what is
  • Document the pod's playbook (formats, workflows, briefs, QA) so it can be copied into new categories
  • Collaborate with editorial, SEO, PR, paid media and lifecycle teams

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications & Credentials

  • About 3 years of experience creating or leading social video for a brand, creator, publisher or agency
  • A portfolio of videos you've led, with the performance numbers to back them up
  • Experience making paid social ad creative (Meta, YouTube, TikTok) and testing variants against performance metrics
  • Understands how video supports lifecycle marketing (email, retargeting, onboarding)
  • Can clearly explain how the YouTube, TikTok and Instagram algorithms decide what gets distributed, and how that shapes hooks, length and retention
  • Deep knowledge of short-form, long-form and paid video formats
  • Video editing proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro (or similar)
  • Experience directing or giving feedback to other creatives or freelancers
  • AI native: uses AI tools every day for research, ideation, scripting and editing
  • Comfortable testing, iterating and learning from performance data
  • Wants to grow and help build a larger team as the pod model scales

Nice to Have:

  • Comfortable on camera and open to hosting
  • Experience with consumer, product review or how-to content
