Job Summary:
We are seeking a mid to senior-level Video Editor to create high-performing short-form and long-form video content for digital platforms. This is a part-time role (20 hours per week), ideal for someone experienced in producing both conversion-driven social media ads and engaging long-form content.
You will work closely with the founder and marketing team to transform raw footage into compelling creatives using modern editing techniques. The role requires someone who can work independently, adapt quickly to feedback, and continuously improve output based on performance insights and content trends.
Responsibilities:
- Edit and produce short-form video ads for Meta, TikTok, and other social platforms.
- Create and edit long-form video content (e.g., YouTube videos, educational content, branded content).
- Develop fast-paced, attention-grabbing edits for short-form, and well-structured, engaging narratives for long-form content.
- Incorporate captions, subtitles, motion graphics, AI voiceovers, and transitions aligned with modern content standards.
- Translate raw footage and creative briefs into compelling, high-quality video outputs.
- Collaborate with the founder and marketing team to iterate and improve content based on feedback and performance data.
- Manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, ensuring timely delivery.
- Maintain organized workflows, including version control and revision tracking.
- Stay updated on video trends, platform updates, and best practices across short and long-form content.
- Perform basic image editing tasks when required (e.g., Photoshop, Canva).
Requirements:
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in video editing across short-form and long-form content.
- Proven experience creating high-performing social media ads (eCommerce preferred) and engaging long-form videos.
- Proficiency in tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, or similar.
- Strong understanding of platform-specific editing styles (Meta, TikTok, YouTube).
- Experience with modern editing techniques, including subtitles, motion graphics, pacing, and storytelling.
- Ability to work independently while proactively communicating and seeking feedback when needed.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver consistent, high-quality output.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a remote environment.
- Portfolio showcasing both short-form ads and long-form content is required.
- Part-time role: 20 hours per week (approximately 4 hours per day).
- Preferably with partial overlap with AEST business hours for collaboration.
- Fully remote, with flexibility based on candidate preference.
