Description:
We are seeking a talented individual to join our Trade Credit team at Marsh. This role will be based in Singapore. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
- Driving revenue growth via development of transactional related account receivables business from FI/Banks and Financing platform clients.
- Strategic Account Manager for large strategic MNC accounts as assigned.
We will count on you to manage the following:
- Establish a transactional revenue developmental framework for FI/ Bank and Financing Platforms within the Trade Credit portfolio in Singapore.
- Maintain an understanding of the business and challenges of this sector and insurance products. Submit coverage specifications and obtain quotes from Insurers, analyse quotes and provide analysis and recommendations. Ensure that coverage is bound and be responsible for the accuracy of bound programs.
- Develop strong working relations with credit risks Insurers and underwriters and including executive level in identifying risks and opportunities, provide recommendations and decision support for business strategy and performance.
- Responsible for Account Management of assigned global clients covering full spectrum of client services (renewal and non-renewal) in operational and strategic planning.
- Ensure operational excellence, budget management and planning, reporting and compliance.
- Work closely with regional Credit Specialties teams and other Marsh offices for new opportunities, client referrals and share best practices.
- Participate in new business initiatives and manage new business opportunities and status updates.
- Strive to deliver best practice, market leading service and solutions.
Operational & Best Practice
- Maintaining up to date client / prospect / deals lists.
- Collaborate with Trade Credit Sales Leader on Monthly revenue tracking.
- Sales training / workshops for FI/Banks/Financing Platform where appropriate and required.
What you need to have:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the Trade Credit Insurance industry from a trade credit broker, brokerage or trade credit underwriter background.
- Relevant tertiary qualification.
- Preferably in a client-facing role working closely with underwriters, preparing presentations, negotiating terms with insurers.
- Ability to understand the client’s business, industry sector, key risks associated with their industry, credit insurance programs & service plans and develop a rapport with decision makers.
- Knowledge and understanding of relevant insurers, third party service providers and their products and services, and an awareness of competitors. Understanding of competitor capabilities, strengths and weaknesses.
- Knowledge of the regulatory and relevant compliance environment in Singapore
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to manage multiple work streams.
- Will need to obtain and maintain the Singapore broking license
- Competent in Microsoft Office and all relevant Marsh business applications.
