Title and Summary
Vice President, Specialist Sales, WE
We are seeking an experienced and driven Vice President to lead Mastercard's Specialist Sales SME organisation across Western Europe. This role focuses on helping financial institutions, fintechs and partners deliver innovative payment and finance solutions for small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs).
The successful candidate will bring deep understanding of regional SME challenges - from late payments and limited credit access to the pressures of digitising financial operations - and translate these insights into impactful sales strategies that drive adoption of Mastercard solutions across diverse markets. You will have demonstrable experience positioning B2B card products as working capital optimisation tools, and a strong understanding of supply chain finance, ideally within wholesale trade or distribution segments.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and develop a high performing, multimarket sales team across Western Europe .
Set and execute regional sales strategies aligned with Mastercard's European and global SME priorities.
Build and sustain senior relationships with key financial institutions, fintechs and digital platforms serving SMEs.
Work hand in hand with SME Product leadership to create differentiated value propositions addressing SME pain points such as working capital, payment delays and digital enablement.
Drive collaboration with product, marketing and market development teams to deliver scalable, out come focused solutions.
Use datadriven insights to identify new growth opportunities and measure sales effectiveness across markets.
Represent Mastercard in senior client discussions and key industry forums.
What We're Looking For
Extensive experience in Financial institutions who serve SME's, with proven success delivering growth in complex, multicountry environments.
Demonstrable understanding of SME needs, payment trends and regulatory contexts across Western Europe.
Track record of managing and motivating diverse, high performing teams.
Skilled at building strategic partnerships and engaging senior level stakeholders.
Strong commercial acumen, able to craft and deliver compelling client propositions.
Excellent leadership, communication and presentation skills being fluent in English; proficiency in at least one additional European language preferred.
Willingness to travel across European markets as required.

Rome, Italy: €117,000 - €204,000 EUR
