What you’ll do in the role:
Morgan Stanley Services Group Inc. is seeking a Vice President, Quality Assurance Lead in New York, New York to work on all software testing phases, including functional and feature aligned sprint testing, integration, regression, end to end and post production testing. Perform periodic reviews of budgeted forecasted spend to ensure the work is within outlined budget. Review software requirement specifications, identify gaps, and determine testability and testing implications. Work closely with data scientists and analysts to create and deploy new product features. Work with Test Manager and other Test Analysts to plan and execute software testing tasks. Log software defects in defect tracking system and follow entered defects through software development lifecycle from creation to resolution. Perform periodic quality assurance oversight of test reports to ensure that appropriate severities and priorities are being assessed to defects. Telecommuting permitted up to 2 days per week.
What you’ll bring to the role:
-Requires a Master’s degree in Applied Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field of study.
-Requires three (3) years of experience as an Associate Director, Associate Consultant, or a related role in the technology field.
-Requires three (3) years of experience with the following skills:
- Working with multiple vendors and internal stakeholders;
- Strategizing software automation architecture framework and implementation;
- Banking payment and transfers, including ACH, WIRES, and Zelle;
- Lending and Mortgage banking;
- Mobile app banking;
- Selenium;
- Jmeter;
- Unix, PERL and Python Scripting;
- Sybase to Teradata data warehouse migration testing;
- Using REST and SOAP APIs using JMeter and RestAssured;
- Agile Requirement Design (ARD); and
- Defining and measuring quality assurance effectiveness using metrics including test coverage, defect leakage, and key performance indicators.
-Requires two (2) years of experience with the following skills:
- Advisory platform banking; and
- Chatbot testing tools.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $206,000 and $210,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
