As the Vice President of Product Marketing, you will develop and drive the story and value proposition we tell to the market, and throughout the ActiveCampaign customer experience. You are an expert on defining customer needs, the competitive landscape, and market dynamics. You are a highly strategic thinker with an expert ability in telling a compelling story. In this role you will drive our overall product messaging strategy, work with the performance & revenue marketing team to drive our targeting strategy, work with the brand team to develop differentiated and creative GTM activations, work with the product team throughout the product development cycle from inception to launch, and work with the revenue teams on effective storytelling and consistent value proposition articulation. 


You have extensive experience in SaaS B2B product marketing, and are an exceptional product storyteller and product champion. You also have proven success in enabling marketing and revenue teams to effectively articulate and communicate unique value to customers and the market. You have also developed and/or optimized cross-functional GTM processes, helping to drive innovation, consistency, and customer value. You have also effectively brought new products to market with proven success.

What your day could consist of:

  • Drive research to ensure comprehensive and deep customer understanding, driving that knowledge into and throughout the GTM teams (Revenue, Product & Marketing)
  • Design and build an impactful Product marketing team
  • Work with marketing and revenue executives to develop and implement marketing strategies and programs that drive ActiveCampaign performance and increased market share
  • Drive the strategy and plan for product launches and releases across all GTM teams
  • Directly partner with marketing, product, and revenue teams to effectively design and optimize our GTM processes to drive innovation and improved performance
  • Enable the revenue teams in the effective articulation of our value proposition, market story, and competitive insights through various training, tools, and content
  • Drive product positioning and messaging that is compelling, differentiated, and resonant
  • Drive competitive insights and analysis through effective industry and competitive evaluation, consistently ensuring differentiation, innovation, and speed to market
  • Work with the brand and revenue and performance marketing leaders to drive targeting and messaging/creative alignment for all GTM programs and campaigns
  • Serve as a key public storyteller, working with analysts, press, and directly with customers
  • Partner directly with product management throughout the entire product development life-cycle

What is needed:

  • 12+ years in Marketing and/or related field with the majority of time in product marketing, with 8+ years in people leadership
  • SaaS Experience
  • MarTech or adjacent industry experience 
  • An exceptional storyteller both internally and externally that skillfully communicate product value and differentiation
  • Superb communications skills across all mediums, and all levels of the organization
  • Success in planning, building, and executing GTM processes with our revenue and product partners, effectively helping to drive the entire ActiveCampaign GTM engine to success
  • Drive a mentality of continuous optimization, growth, and performance throughout the marketing team
  • Experience in both SMB and Enterprise B2B is preferred.
