Vice President, Product Analyst

We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, Product Analyst to join our Enterprise Custody Platform product team. This role is located in Pune.

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:

• Partnering with Product Managers, Product Owners, Operations, Technology, and clients to analyze business challenges and identify opportunities to enhance BNY's Custody products and services.
• Leading complex business, process, workflow, and data analysis efforts across strategic custody initiatives and product enhancements.
• Translating business objectives, client requirements, operational needs, regulatory obligations, and technology considerations into well-defined requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Creating and maintaining future-state process designs, business rules, operating models, data mappings, decision trees, and traceability documentation.
• Conducting impact assessments across products, applications, workflows, controls, and operating procedures to identify dependencies, risks, and implementation considerations.
• Leveraging AI-enabled tools and analytical techniques to accelerate requirements analysis, identify patterns and trends, improve documentation quality, and support data-driven decision making.
• Using quantitative and qualitative analysis to evaluate product opportunities, business cases, operational efficiency improvements, and client experience enhancements.
• Supporting backlog refinement activities to ensure requirements are clear, testable, and delivery ready.
• Providing thought leadership on requirements management, business process analysis, data analysis, and AI-assisted product discovery practices.
• Ensuring regulatory, audit, resiliency, risk, and control considerations are incorporated throughout product development and delivery lifecycles.

• Supporting strategic product initiatives by preparing executive-level analysis, recommendations, presentations, and decision-support materials.

  
  

To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required.
• 8+ years of experience in business analysis, product analysis, product management, custody operations, consulting, financial technology, or related disciplines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to decompose complex business challenges into actionable requirements and recommendations.
• Experience analyzing operational workflows, business processes, system integrations, data flows, and client journeys.
• Demonstrated experience writing business requirements, functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and business rules.
• Experience performing data analysis using tools such as Excel, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, or similar platforms.
• Experience utilizing AI and generative AI tools to support analysis, research, requirements development, process improvement, and decision-making activities.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, product development lifecycles, backlog management, and iterative delivery practices.
• Experience working in highly matrixed organizations and partnering with Product, Operations, Technology, Risk, Compliance, and Client-facing teams.
• Ability to communicate complex business and technical concepts clearly to both executive and delivery audiences.
• Demonstrated capability to influence stakeholders and drive consensus across diverse groups.
• Experience developing executive presentations, business cases, and decision-support materials.
• Prior experience in financial services required. Knowledge of global custody, asset servicing, institutional banking, securities processing, settlements, corporate actions, cash management, or related custody functions strongly preferred.
