About this role
This role sits within Preqin, part of BlackRock. Preqin plays a critical role in transforming private markets data and technology for clients globally, complementing the Aladdin platform to deliver comprehensive, whole‑portfolio investment solutions.
We are seeking an experienced and driven sales professional to identify, develop, and close new subscription agreements with some of the largest and most respected firms in the market, while also expanding existing client relationships. In this role, you will take full ownership of designated sales territory, including strategic planning and execution. You will be expected to independently drive sales initiative and consistently meet or exceed monthly net sales targets.
This role offers the opportunity to make an immediate impact, build a strong and sustainable pipeline, and develop a successful sales career at Preqin and across the wider BlackRock organization. Progression will be supported by strong revenue performance, exemplary conduct, and excellent organizational skills.
What you’ll be doing:
Own and manage the full sales cycle end to end, from securing senior‑level introductions to closing new business and exceeding sales targets
Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of new business opportunities within your assigned territory
Clearly articulate Preqin’s products and value proposition to prospective clients while building trusted relationships with key stakeholders
Partner closely with the Account Management team to support upselling opportunities across new products, teams, or use cases, and contribute to commercial strategies that expand value for both clients and Preqin
Deliver tailored proposals, product demonstrations, and client consultations (in person where possible, or via phone/video)
Continuously build expertise across Preqin and Aladdin solutions, staying up to date on product enhancements, new modules, solutions, and evolving client use cases
What you’ll bring to us:
Proven sales experience in new business development and / or account management, ideally within financial services, alternative investments, B2B SaaS, or solution‑based selling
A demonstrable track record of consistently achieving or exceeding sales quotas
Strong negotiation skills, particularly around renewals, upselling, cross‑selling, and add‑on products
Disciplined and accurate Salesforce management, including pipeline and reporting hygiene
Working knowledge of financial markets data, alternative assets, and the financial services industry
Native Japanese speaker with business-fluent English (verbal and written)
