  • Analyze and explain the underlying drivers of EBITDA, cash flow, working capital, liquidity, leverage, and other critical performance indicators
  • Evaluate business performance through both financial and operational lenses, linking results directly to underlying operational KPI drivers
  • Identify emerging risks, opportunities, and trends across the portfolio and develop actionable recommendations for management and investment teams

Financial Modeling & Capital Structure Analysis

  • Build, review, and enhance complex financial models, including three-statement models, operating forecasts, cash flow analyses, scenario assessments, and sensitivity analyses
  • Lead analysis of capital structures, debt facilities, covenant compliance, refinancing opportunities, interest-rate exposure, liquidity planning, and other treasury-related matters
  • Monitor portfolio company leverage, debt service capacity, and financing requirements, providing recommendations to investment and management teams

Reporting & Portfolio Analytics

  • Drive the continued enhancement of portfolio reporting processes, analytics, systems, and data infrastructure
  • Partner with portfolio companies, internal stakeholders, and technology teams to improve reporting consistency, scalability, data quality, and decision-support capabilities
  • Develop dashboards, reporting frameworks, and performance monitoring tools that enable more timely and actionable insights

Strategic Business Partnering

  • Serve as a trusted finance partner to Portfolio Company CFOs and finance teams, GIP Investment Teams, and Business Improvement professionals
  • Challenge assumptions, assess business plans, and provide objective analysis to support strategic and operational decision-making
  • Support value creation initiatives by quantifying opportunities and monitoring execution against financial objectives

Executive Communications

  • Prepare concise, executive-level analyses and presentations for senior management, Investment Committees, Portfolio Committees, investors, and other stakeholders
  • Distill complex financial and operational information into clear narratives that support decision-making

Special Projects

  • Support strategic initiatives across the portfolio, including integrations, carve-outs, operational improvement programs, financing transactions, audit-related projects, and other ad hoc priorities

Required Qualifications:

  • 7-10+ years of experience in private equity portfolio finance, corporate finance, financial planning and analysis, investment banking, leveraged finance, transaction advisory, consulting, or a similarly rigorous analytical environment
  • Exceptional financial analysis and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate complex business situations and translate findings into actionable recommendations
  • Advanced financial modeling expertise, including experience building and reviewing operating, cash flow, three-statement, scenario, and sensitivity models
  • Strong understanding of debt and capital markets, including leverage, capital structures, covenant analysis, liquidity management, refinancing activities, and interest-rate considerations
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills, including the ability to influence senior stakeholders and convey complex concepts in a concise and compelling manner

What We Do

As the world’s largest asset manager, BlackRock partners with investors around the globe to help them (and those on whose behalf they invest) plan for life’s most important goals – like retirement, home ownership and their children’s education. Our clients range from governments, foundations and other large institutions to those investing on behalf of individuals, including firefighters, nurses, teachers and factory workers. Our breakthrough Aladdin® platform is BlackRock’s technological backbone, helping investors see and manage their whole portfolios in one place – from constructing investments to monitoring risk and executing trades. Used by hundreds of external institutions around the world, Aladdin combines powerful analytics and a common language to help investment teams make faster, more informed decisions across public and private markets. It’s a key part of our business and one of the reasons we’re trusted to manage more assets than any other investment manager today. At BlackRock, we challenge conventions and raise the bar for what’s possible. We harness technology to unlock new solutions, simplify complexity, and deliver investment strategies that meet people where they are.
