The Role

The Vice President of Marketing is a senior executive responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies that drive brand awareness, demand generation, and revenue growth. This role ensures alignment between marketing initiatives and organizational objectives, positioning the company as a leader in cybersecurity solutions. The VP of Marketing will lead a high-performing team to deliver measurable outcomes across digital, content, and field marketing channels.

What you’ll do

  • Lives by the NuHarbor Values: Help Clients Win, Always Improve, Protect the House.
  • Strategic Leadership:
    • Define and implement marketing strategies that support corporate growth objectives and market positioning.
    • Be fully accountable for delivering these strategies through hands-on execution or by ensuring the marketing team executes flawlessly. This includes setting clear priorities, monitoring progress, and intervening when necessary to guarantee results.
    • Partner with Sales, Product, and Client teams to ensure integrated go-to-market execution, including building sales enablement materials and processes.
  • Brand & Messaging:
    • Oversee brand development and ensure consistent messaging across all channels.
    • Drive thought leadership initiatives to enhance market credibility.
  • Demand Generation:
    • Develop campaigns that generate qualified leads and accelerate pipeline growth.
    • Optimize marketing automation and analytics to measure ROI.
  • Team Development:
    • Recruit, mentor, and develop marketing talent to build a high-performing team.
    • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Market Insights:
    • Monitor industry trends and competitive landscape to inform strategy.
    • Leverage data-driven insights to refine marketing programs.

Your foundation.  The requirements for this role:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field. 
    • In lieu of a degree, we are open to proven success and a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a related field.
  • Proven Leadership: 15+ years of progressive marketing experience, including executive-level responsibility for strategy and execution in B2B technology or cybersecurity.
  • Hands-On Mindset: A demonstrated willingness and ability to roll up your sleeves and actively engage in campaigns, analytics, and storytelling—not just delegate from the top.
  • Digital Marketing Expertise: Deep knowledge of digital channels, branding, and content strategies that drive measurable engagement and growth.
  • Data-Driven Curiosity: An uncompromising focus on MQL and SQL funnel quality, conversion rates, and pipeline velocity, with a passion for continuous optimization.
  • Strategic Vision + Tactical Execution: Ability to balance long-term strategy with day-to-day operational excellence, ensuring accountability for results.
  • Collaborative: Demonstrated experience partnering across Sales, Product, and Client Success to deliver integrated go-to-market strategies.
  • Team Builder: A track record of recruiting, mentoring, and inspiring high-performing marketing teams.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States (US Citizen or Permanent Resident)

Additional capabilities that will differentiate you for this role:

  • Advanced degree in Business Administration or cybersecurity related field of study.
  • Industry Insight: Familiarity with cybersecurity trends, compliance requirements, and competitive landscapes.
  • Experience in both the public and private business sectors.
  • Demonstrated storytelling skills, from high-level presentations with senior audiences to delivery of actionable recommendations to technical practitioners.
  • Ability to foster and maintain strong, productive working relationships with a variety of stakeholders at all levels of an organization

Base Salary for this role is targeted at $170,000 - $200,000 annually. *Salary based on Burlington, VT salary data. Offer is based on candidate geography. Additionally, this role is eligible for the company bonus plan.
