Sompo has a unique opportunity for a Vice President, Market Strategy in our National Sales team.


This role supports the development and execution of national market strategies for AgriSompo’s crop insurance business by analyzing regional and national trends, competitive activity, distribution opportunities, and producer needs to drive profitable growth. The position partners closely with National Accounts, Business Development Representatives, and cross-functional teams including underwriting, sales, marketing, and leadership to evaluate territory performance, strengthen agency relationships, identify market opportunities, and align strategic priorities with business objectives.

What you’ll be doing:

·         Conduct national market analysis for AgriSompo’s crop insurance business, including regional trends, competitive activity, distribution opportunities, and producer needs.

·         Develop and maintain market strategies with clear, measurable business development targets aligned to company growth objectives.

·         Partner closely with Business Development team to understand territory performance, agency relationships, market dynamics, and growth opportunities.

·         Identify national and regional market trends to support profitable growth and improved market positioning.

·         Analyze business development performance and recommend strategic adjustments based on results, market shifts, and territory needs.


What you’ll bring:

·         Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, economics, agriculture, finance, or a related field required; advanced degree preferred.

·         Minimum of 10 years of experience in market analysis, business development, strategy, sales support, or a related role, within crop insurance, agriculture, financial services, or a similarly regulated industry.

·         Advanced knowledge of crop insurance products, livestock markets, agricultural distribution channels, and rural market dynamics is required

·         Strong understanding of market analysis, competitive intelligence, territory planning, and business development strategy.

·         Experience analyzing regional and national market trends and translating findings into actionable growth strategies.

·         Demonstrated ability to develop measurable business plans, performance targets, and strategic recommendations aligned with organizational objectives.

·         Proven experience supporting sales or business development teams with data-driven insights, reporting, and planning tools.

·         Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret performance data, market conditions, and competitive activity to guide decision-making.

·         Ability to work cross-functionally with business development, underwriting, sales, marketing, and executive leadership.

·         Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex market and business insights to varied audiences.


Salary Range: Actual compensation for this role will depend on several factors including the cost of living associated with your work location, your qualifications, skills, competencies, and relevant experience.

Skills Required
