The Vice President of IT Infrastructure is a senior executive responsible for overseeing the design implementation, and management of the agency's IT infrastructure. This includes ensuring the stability, security, scalability, and performance of all IT systems and networks. The VP of IT infrastructure will lead the infrastructure team, manage large-scale projects, and drive innovation to support the organization's strategic goals. This role requires a deep understanding of current and emerging technologies, as well as strong leadership and management skills.
POSITION SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Infrastructure Strategy and Planning:
- Provide leadership to create and maintain a positive work environment and culture for the IT staff.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive IT infrastructure strategy that aligns with the agency's business objectives.
- Ensure IT department staff are adequately trained and up-to-date on IT best practices.
- Lead the planning and execution of infrastructure projects, including data center operations, network architecture, server management, and cloud computing.
- Evaluate and recommend technology solutions that enhance system performance, reduce costs, and improve service delivery.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to forecast future infrastructure needs and ensure that the IT environment can scale to meet agency growth.
- IT Governance and Risk Management:
- Provide leadership and oversight for proper internal IT controls to safeguard systems and data.
- Assess, plan, and remediate IT risks for infrastructure, applications, and data.
