Vice President, Human Resources Business Partner (Global)

Location: Remote, United States
Reports To: Chief People Officer
Travel: Approximately 20-30% domestic and international travel as business needs require

About the Role

We are seeking a strategic, business-focused, and globally minded Vice President, Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to serve as a trusted advisor to executive leaders and help shape the people strategy that enables business success. Reporting directly to the Chief People Officer, this role will lead a team of HR Business Partners and partner closely with leaders across multiple functions and geographies to drive organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, leadership development, culture, employee engagement, and change management.

The VP, HRBP will play a critical role in aligning talent strategies with business priorities, ensuring a high-performing and inclusive culture, and scaling people practices that support continued organizational growth and transformation.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Business Partnership

  • Serve as a senior HR advisor and thought partner to executive leadership teams across global business functions.
  • Translate business objectives into people strategies that accelerate organizational performance and growth.
  • Influence organizational design, workforce planning, succession planning, and talent investments.
  • Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.

Global HRBP Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of HR Business Partners supporting employees and leaders across multiple regions.
  • Establish consistent HRBP practices, tools, and frameworks while balancing local market and regional requirements.
  • Drive alignment across HR Centers of Excellence, including Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Learning & Development, Employee Relations, and People Operations.

Talent and Leadership Development

  • Partner with senior leadership to identify, assess, and develop top talent.
  • Lead succession planning and leadership pipeline strategies for critical roles.
  • Support executive coaching and leadership effectiveness initiatives.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and high performance.

Organizational Effectiveness & Change Management

  • Lead organizational transformation efforts, including restructures, integrations, growth initiatives, and business change programs.
  • Assess organizational health and recommend solutions to improve effectiveness, collaboration, and scalability.
  • Guide leaders through change management planning and execution to ensure successful adoption and employee engagement.

Employee Experience & Culture

  • Champion a positive, inclusive, and high-performance culture aligned with company values.
  • Partner with leaders to strengthen employee engagement, retention, and organizational health.
  • Address complex employee relations matters with sound judgment and a balanced business and people perspective.
  • Promote diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging initiatives across supported organizations.

Metrics, Analytics & Governance

  • Utilize workforce analytics and people metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Monitor key indicators including retention, engagement, performance, diversity, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable employment laws and regulations in partnership with Legal and regional HR teams.
  • Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement across HRBP processes.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or related field.
  • 15+ years of progressive human resources experience, including significant HR Business Partner leadership experience in a complex, high-growth, or multinational organization.
  • Demonstrated success partnering with executive leadership teams on strategic business initiatives.
  • Experience leading global or multi-regional HR teams and supporting geographically distributed workforces.
  • Strong knowledge of organizational design, talent management, succession planning, employee relations, and change management.
  • Proven ability to influence senior leaders and drive alignment across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Excellent executive communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with experience leveraging workforce data to guide decisions.

Preferred

  • Master's degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Psychology, or related discipline.
  • SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or equivalent professional certification.
  • Experience supporting rapid growth, transformation, M&A activity, or international expansion.
  • Experience in technology, manufacturing, renewable energy, engineering, or other fast-paced global industries.
