The Role

Vice President, Global Market Sales (China FI)

Country: Hong Kong

To strengthen Santander’s Global Markets franchise through distribution of fixed income in particular structured products and yield enhancement solutions to clients in Greater China.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cover Institutional Clients including but not limited to Chinese banks, NBFIs, asset managers, funds in HK and Mainland China, to establish and maintain strong client relationship for a wider client base.

  • Provide end-to-end Global Markets products, not limited to bonds, structured products, securitized products, cross-border solutions to clients, including pitching, products design, and executions.

  • Work closely with traders and structurers from different product desks to market product capabilities to clients.

  • Provide insightful market views to clients and optimize client need with solid products knowledge and solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree or above in Finance, Economics or related discipline.

  • Minimum 6 years of relevant product and market experience in the destination market with proven track record.  Candidates with less relevant experience may be considered for Associate level.

  • Sound product knowledge in rates, credits, securitized products, structured products and cross-border solutions such as derivatives relevant to Fixed Income and other related solutions.

  • Solid business relationship with market participants, not limited to Chinese Banks, NBFIs, funds and PWM clients.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Good team player and collaborator, strong mindset to be compliant with regulations in responsible dealing.

  • Good command of written and verbal communication in English and Mandarin.

  • Proficient in MS office applications with strong analytical skills.
