Responsibilities:
Responsible for defining an architectural vision and solution architecture which aligns with the enterprise architecture strategy, technology and platform choices.
Describe the solution intent and the associated operating environment, determine the primary systems/subsystems and their interfaces, defining nonfunctional requirements and architectural runway to support new epics/features.
Ensure the solution is fit for purpose and use by working with stakeholders, vendors/service providers, and evaluating the impact of strategic design decisions.
Work across business and technology to create the solution intent and architectural vision and evolve it to an emerging backlog.
Consult the business to clearly understand the business problems and technology to understand the technology challenges of the solution and find creative solutions through practical experiments and POCs.
Lead rapid shaping of a high-level architecture with details filled in with emerging business requirements.
Ensure architecture is flexible and modular and designed to adapt easily.
Remote work may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite.
Required Skills & Experience:
Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Engineering (any), or related: and
3 years of experience in the job offered or a related IT occupation.
Must include 3 years of experience in:
Utilizing experience with large scale Enterprise Hadoop environment builds and operations, design, capacity planning, cluster set up, security, performance tuning and monitoring to build large scale enterprise Hadoop Clusters;
Using the full Cloudera CDP distribution to install, configure, and monitor all services in the CDP stack on Linux machines;
Utilizing core Cloudera Hadoop services, including HDFS, Ozone, and MapReduce, to monitor and make configurations to all services within the software;
Administering and supporting RHEL Linux operating systems, databases, and hardware in an enterprise environment to install various software which is used in an Enterprise Environment; and,
Using Kerberos with integration with LDAP/AD to install, configure, and manage security for Hadoop clusters within a Hadoop Enterprise Environment.
