The Opportunity:

Hamilton Lane is seeking a Principal, Client Solutions, Private Wealth who will partner with the Head of Client Solutions for Southeast Asia to lead business development and prospecting, with a primary focus on private banks, bank intermediaries and other wealth platforms.
 

This role will be based in Singapore and will be part of the Southeast Asia Client Solutions team, with a focus on offering best-in-class investment solutions from Hamilton Lane’s Wealth Solutions platform to our investors. The candidate will also support the firm’s sales and marketing efforts in the region through the preparation of questionnaires, presentations and other materials for prospective and existing clients.

Your responsibilities will be to:

  • Partner with the Head of Client Solutions for Southeast Asia to drive new business development and deepen client relationships across private banks, bank intermediaries and other wealth
    platforms in the region.

  • Lead the full sales cycle from prospect identification and qualification through onboarding and ongoing client portfolio development.

  • Develop and execute territory and account plans to grow Hamilton Lane’s private wealth footprint in Southeast Asia.

  • Maintain and actively manage sales activities and new business pipeline in CRM, ensuring data integrity and timely updates.

  • Act as a senior point of contact for various sales- and client-related activities across the region.

  • Manage the coordination of presentations and meetings with prospective and existing clients,
    including agenda setting, preparation of materials and follow-up.

  • Represent Hamilton Lane in prospect and client meetings, leading discussions, taking notes and ensuring clear and timely follow-ups.

  • Lead and manage responses to RFPs in conjunction with the RFP/Content Team, taking ownership for the delivery of timely, accurate and high-quality submissions.

  • Work directly with internal stakeholders across the firm (including investment, product, client services, operations, tax, legal and compliance) to ensure a superior level of client service.

  • Manage and grow existing client and investor relationships across the region through proactive sales outreach, coordinating closely with the broader Hamilton Lane team.

  • Collaborate with marketing and events teams to support regional marketing activities and events, including conferences, roadshows and client seminars.

  • Act as a senior member of the Southeast Asia Client Solutions team, contributing market insights, helping to refine the regional private wealth strategy and providing informal guidance and mentorship to junior team members.

Your background will include:

  • University degree (B.A., B.S. or equivalent) or an advanced degree (e.g., M.B.A.). Professional designation such as CFA/CAIA or other relevant certification.
  • 10+ years’ experience in a related financial services and/or private markets role, ideally with experience with wealth/intermediary distribution with an established asset management firm
  • Demonstrated track record in business development and relationship management, preferably with private banks, bank intermediaries or other wealth platforms.
  • A strong team player with a high degree of drive, motivation and commercial orientation.
  • Detail-oriented, structured, organized and deadline-focused, with the ability to operate independently and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail, and a consultative sales approach
  • Proficient in use of technology at the work place, including use of MS applications, AI applications
  • Business-level mandarin will be favourably considered
  • Private markets experience is a plus

  • 5-7 years' experience in financial services/private markets
  • Fluency in English, Mandarin or Southeast Asian language
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
  • University degree (B.A., B.S., or B.B.A.), advanced degree preferred
