As the Vice President of Business Development, you will support, nurture, guide, and lead new growth initiatives across the organization, with a specific focus on the development of new sources, channels, and opportunities by offering resources, expertise, and program innovation. The role requires expertise in business development, home health and/or hospice, operations management, program innovation, employee activation, written and verbal communications skills, and a commitment to servant leadership, along with an understanding of company goals and how to impact rally the business development team behind them. The position also provides leadership and coordination of company sales functions by developing and implementing growth strategies, especially in such pre-acute market segments as Senior/Assisted Living, Veterans Affairs, and physician targets
Primary Responsibilities:
- Identifies growth opportunities in emerging markets (e.g., senior/assisted living, VA, physician segments, etc.) and works with leadership to maximize business from these account opportunities
- Develops partnerships with operational leadership to drive organic growth by focusing on growth initiatives in both operations and sales within Senior Living Communities and other identified market segments
- Provides education, strategies, resources, and coaching to sales leaders and team members in pursuit of company growth goals
- Maximizes density and value of existing partnerships, while also cultivating and courting new opportunities (both directly and indirectly)
- Proactively implements all company initiatives, bringing real solutions to challenging situations
- Develops growth tactics and collaborates with business lines to deliver solutions across the continuum of care
- Participates in monthly and quarterly business reviews
- Manages conflict and complaint resolution when necessary
- Understands key drivers of revenue, admissions, and length of stay and designs strategic growth strategies to achieve agency growth goals
- Lives the Mission and strives to achieve the Vision of the organization, including leadership with a balanced approach to all 6 pillars of the organization
- Knowledge of and adherence to the LHC Group Code of Conduct and Ethics

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $150,252 to $225,378 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
