Job Description:The Vice President, Business Applications at Essentia Health will be responsible for overseeing the strategic direction, implementation, and management of business applications across the health system, with a particular focus on ERP systems, specifically Workday. This role will ensure that business applications align with organizational goals, enhance operational efficiency, and support the delivery of high-quality healthcare services.

Education Qualifications:

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for business applications, ensuring alignment with Essentia Health's overall mission and objectives
  • Lead the planning, implementation, and optimization of the Workday ERP system across the organization
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to identify and prioritize business application needs and opportunities

2. ERP Management:

  • Oversee the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of the Workday ERP system
  • Ensure the ERP system supports key business processes, including finance, human resources, supply chain, and other critical functions
  • Monitor system performance and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and user experience

3. Team Leadership:

  • Build and lead a high-performing team of IT professionals, including application developers, analysts, and support staff
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration within the team
  • Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities for team members

4. Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Act as a liaison between IT and other departments, ensuring effective communication and collaboration
  • Engage with key stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements and solutions
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and partners to ensure the successful delivery of projects and services

5. Project Management:

  • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of business application projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget
  • Implement best practices for project management, including risk management, quality assurance, and change management

6. Compliance and Security:

  • Ensure that business applications comply with relevant regulations, standards, and policies, including HIPAA and other healthcare-specific requirements
  • Implement robust security measures to protect sensitive data and maintain the integrity of business applications

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT leadership roles, with a focus on business applications and ERP systems. Extensive experience with Workday is required.

Required Skills:

  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills
  • Proven track record of successful ERP implementation and management
  • Strong understanding of healthcare industry regulations and standards
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

  • Master’s degree
