About this role
BlackRock Capital Markets (BCM) operates across the entirety of the firm’s investment platform to provide our investors the ability to access primary issuance markets, source across the capital structure and unlock greater alpha opportunities for the benefit of our clients. Covering the full spectrum of public and private markets, BCM offers a centralized function for sourcing, financing, co-investment and corporate coverage activities.
We are currently seeking a Vice President to join the team in Hong Kong. The individual will be responsible for providing debt financing and structuring services to the investment teams in the Asia Pacific region. This role is critical in securing funding, optimizing capital structure, and supporting the financial goals of the fund and investments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with portfolio and investment management teams to assess funding needs and financial requirements for funds and investments.
- Develop and implement debt financing strategies, including recommending interest rate hedging strategies to the investment team.
- Review financing assumptions to ensure accurate modeling for new investments. To analyze and mitigate risks associated with debt financing activities.
- Lead the arrangement of debt financing at both fund and asset levels, optimizing the return and risk profile of transactions.
- Coordinate with deal teams, financial crime, tax, and other stakeholders to review relevant provisions of loan documentation in conjunction with external legal counsel.
Key Qualifications:
- Demonstrated expertise in relationship management and capital markets within a financial institution, with the ability to effectively manage client dynamics.
- Proven ability to work effectively at all organizational levels and build strong relationships with team members, managers, and senior executives across multiple locations.
- Extensive experience in APAC capital markets and structures, with the capability to conduct independent analysis, direct negotiations, and lead structuring to complete investment opportunities.
- Established network across banks, clients, sponsors, and corporates.
- Strong academic background with excellent communication skills in both English and Mandarin.
