Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Advanced Markets Sales Support Consultant to provide technical and analytical support for our advanced sales and marketing initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in estate planning, business succession planning, annuities, long-term care, life settlements, and tax-efficient wealth transfer strategies, coupled with advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills to develop customized presentations and analyses. This role will work closely with internal sales teams, external financial professionals, and clients to deliver clear, compelling, and data-driven solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support advanced markets and sales teams by providing technical case design and analysis for high-net-worth individuals and business owners.

  • Develop customized financial models, estate planning projections, and insurance optimization scenarios using Excel and other financial modeling tools.

  • Create high-impact PowerPoint presentations and reports that communicate complex financial strategies in a clear and visually engaging manner.

  • Conduct research on estate tax laws, business succession strategies, annuities, long-term care, life settlements, and wealth transfer techniques to support client solutions.

  • Assist in the development of sales tools, whitepapers, and training materials for financial advisors and sales teams.

  • Collaborate with product specialists, underwriters, and legal experts to structure tailored insurance solutions.

  • Work closely with the wholesale team to develop and support sales initiatives for advisors and clients.

  • Partner with advanced markets professionals at our insurance carrier partners to leverage expertise and develop customized planning strategies.

  • Analyze industry trends and regulatory updates to ensure compliance and best practices in estate and business planning strategies.

  • Provide ongoing support and training for internal teams and external partners on advanced planning concepts and tools.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting, or a related field.

  • 3+ years of experience in advanced markets, life insurance sales support, financial planning, or estate planning.

  • Proficiency in Excel (advanced functions, financial modeling, and scenario analysis) and PowerPoint (professional presentations with data visualization).

  • Strong understanding of life insurance, annuities, long-term care, life settlements, estate and gift tax planning, business succession planning, and financial modeling.

  • Knowledge of financial planning software (e.g., WealthTec, Impact, InsMark, or similar tools) is a plus.

  • Ability to synthesize complex financial data and communicate it effectively to advisors and clients.

  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Self-motivated, team-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects under deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Industry designations such as CLU, ChFC, CFP, or CPA (or progress toward them) are highly desirable.

  • Experience working with financial advisors, CPAs, attorneys, or high-net-worth clients.

  • Familiarity with tax laws, estate planning techniques, annuities, long-term care, life settlements, and corporate-owned life insurance (COLI/BOLI) strategies.

Compensation Offered:

Disclosure required under applicable state or municipality regulations: The expected salary range for this position is $140,000-$150,000, with additional bonus opportunity. This compensation will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level.
