We’re looking for passionate, curious, and motivated people to join our mission.
This is your chance to collaborate with world-class experts, work on complex physical systems, and make meaningful contributions in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary environment.
The Opportunity
We are looking for a hands-on Verification Engineer to join our Verification, Testing & Approval team and help ensure the performance, reliability, and safety of our robotic platforms.
The team supports verification across our existing products and new development programmes. As our technology and product portfolio grow, you will add critical engineering capacity, helping us increase testing coverage across the development V-cycle while maintaining the pace of innovation.
Working within an established verification framework, you will own defined testing work packages from setup and execution through to data analysis and documentation. This is an ideal opportunity for an early-career engineer who enjoys working directly with hardware, investigating complex technical problems, and using software and data to understand how systems behave.
The Market & Our Technology
ANYbotics is a fast-growing tech company dedicated to shaping the future of mobile robotics across multiple heavy industries. Our four-legged robotic platform, ANYmal, is designed to navigate complex industrial environments autonomously, performing inspections and data collection in places that are too dangerous or difficult for humans.
ANYmal combines mechanical systems, actuators, power electronics, sensors, embedded software, autonomy, and advanced data analytics. Verifying such an integrated robotic system requires more than running predefined tests: it requires understanding physical behaviour, identifying meaningful measurements, and producing repeatable evidence that supports engineering and product decisions.
Join our highly talented and motivated team and work on cutting-edge robot technology in an agile, fast-paced environment.
Your Impact
- Plan and execute verification activities for robotic components, subsystems, and integrated platforms
- Build and maintain test rigs, measurement setups, sensors, and laboratory equipment
- Develop automated test procedures and data-processing tools using Python and Ubuntu
- Analyse telemetry, sensor data, and system logs to identify performance limits, unexpected behaviour, and failure modes
- Investigate issues across mechanical, electrical, and software boundaries in close collaboration with engineering teams
- Document test methods, results, and conclusions clearly, helping turn verification evidence into design and product decisions
Your Profile
- Degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field
- Initial professional, internship, research, or substantial project experience with complex mechatronic or electromechanical systems
- Strong hands-on mindset and enthusiasm for building, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing physical systems
- Experience using Python and Linux, ideally Ubuntu, for test automation, data processing, or engineering analysis
- Ability to interpret mechanical designs, electrical schematics, technical requirements, and system documentation
- Methodical and analytical approach, with clear written and spoken English and the ability to communicate findings across disciplines
Bonus Points
- Experience testing robots, drones, vehicles, industrial machinery, medical devices, or other complex physical products
- Familiarity with C++, ROS, ROS 2, robotics simulation tools, or SolidWorks
- Experience with test benches, data-acquisition equipment, environmental testing, or hardware-in-the-loop systems
- Understanding of motors, actuators, sensors, power electronics, PCB systems, or cabling architectures
- Driving licence
