We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Network Communication (Multiplex) Application Engineer to support our forward model vehicle program teams. In this critical role, you will be at the forefront of vehicle network development, ensuring robust and seamless communication across automotive electrical systems. You will take ownership of the Program CAN Message List, drive MUX design verification (DV) testing at both the ECU and vehicle levels, and provide essential launch support.
By performing rigorous network-level triage, root cause analysis, and testing, you will help deliver flawless vehicle launches and shape the evolution of our next-generation vehicle architectures. Additionally, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining the artifact build and release pipeline, utilizing your programming skills to streamline network configurations and drive our platforms forward.
ResponsibilitiesWhat you'll do…
- Message List Management: Develop and maintain the Program CAN Message List to ensure accurate and up-to-date network communication definitions for forward model vehicle programs.
- Design Verification (DV) Testing: Ensure comprehensive MUX DV testing is successfully completed at both the Electronic Control Unit (ECU) and full Vehicle levels.
- Launch Support: Provide dedicated, hands-on launch support for MUX-related issues, ensuring seamless integration and operation during critical vehicle program rollouts.
- Triage & Troubleshooting: Perform advanced network-level triage, root cause analysis, and testing to diagnose and resolve complex communication anomalies.
- Pipeline Development: Develop, manage, and maintain the artifact build and release pipeline to streamline the delivery of network configurations and software.
You'll have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2+ years of professional electrical experience.
- Functional knowledge of automotive electrical systems and architectures.
- Familiarity with in-vehicle network protocols, specifically CAN, LIN, and Ethernet.
- Experience with Python programming for scripting, tool creation, or automation.

- A strong execution mindset with a proven track record of driving complex tasks to completion.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional program teams.
- Hands-on experience in test case creation and execution for automotive networks.

This position is a salary grade 7 and ranges from $99,600-$156,600.
