Position
Responsibilities
- Define all vehicle dynamics targets, covering ride, braking,
steering and handling
- Ensure all vehicle dynamic requirements are effectively
cascade to systems and components level. Considering cross-attribute
effects and providing input for design changes and optimisations
- Objective and subjective vehicles evaluation. Conducting all
aspects of vehicle dynamics simulation, objective testing from
instrumenting to processing and reporting results. Combined with
specifying and managing rig testing, such as K&C and 4-post
- Conduct Physical and virtual analysis during the design and
the development phases to ensure vehicle dynamics target is achieved
- Collaborate closely with other Performance Managers to
define, achieve, and validate performance targets
- Conduct in-depth analyses of test and simulation data to
identify root causes and propose practical, effective solutions for
attribute improvement and target achievement
- Support the development and refinement of attribute testing
procedures to ensure consistency, accuracy, and reliability of outcomes
- Prepare detailed technical reports and provide actionable
insights to performance management and cross-functional teams
- Continuously remain informed about industry best practices,
new methodologies, and technological advancements relevant to the
specialized attribute area
Requirements
Degree/Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree or above in
Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related fields
- Minimum 10 years of experience in
Automotive Vehicle Dynamics attribute
Experience:
- Hands-on experience in vehicle dynamics
target setting and cascade, data analysis, testing simulation, optimization,
problem solving
- Proficiency with vehicle dynamics-specific
instrumentation and sensor setups
- Skilled in performing and
coordinating standard vehicle dynamics-specific simulation and testing
processes (road tests, rig tests, laboratory tests, environmental chamber
tests)
- Familiarity with vehicle dynamics-related
analytical tools and software relevant to the specialized area
- Demonstrated ability to closely
collaborate with other performance managers and cross-functional teams to
effectively implement improvements
- Proficient in interpreting test and
simulation data, performing root-cause analysis, and clearly communicating
findings and recommendations
- Experience with structured
problem-solving methodologies (DFMEA, DVP, 8D, 5Y, DFSS, FTA, Fish Bone)

Skills Required
