Job Summary
Design Group seeks a highly motivated, team-oriented, (VDC/BIM) Manager. This position will require high-level proficiency with BIM tools such as Autodesk Revit, Autodesk Navisworks, Autodesk Recap, and Autodesk Construction Cloud. A strong background in developing and delivering software training is a must. Familiarity with Augmented/Virtual Reality, and rendering software such as Lumion and Twinmotion is a plus. The position will report to the managing VDC Director/Regional Engineering Manager and will play a vital role in advancing Design Groups BIM/VDC vision.
Primary Responsibilities – (60%+/-)
Lead BIM Coordinator for high-profile projects in the Western Region.
- Develop and oversee BIM execution plans
- Administer Autodesk Construction Cloud
- Maintain federated BIM models
- Coordination and Clash detection
- Assist in Quality Assurance
Secondary Responsibilities - (40%+/-)
- Provide BIM/CAD leadership to the Eastern/Central/Western Region, implementing design standards, procedures, software training, and development of standard design details.
- Review and assist in the hiring and onboarding of design staff to meet project execution needs.
- Design coach and technical support for the Western Region. Will provide design software training on internal tools and procedures.
- Fully implement BIM within the Eastern/Central/Western, define and refine best practices and procedures. Coordinate with other in-house disciplines also working with BIM models.
- Support the establishment and maintenance of Design Group CAD/BIM standards.
- Maintain and further develop the Design Group standard detail libraries.
- Support Designers and Engineers in Eastern/Central/Western Region with Design Software Issues through the national helpdesk system.
Requirements
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Experience in facilitating meetings and training events.
- 10+ years minimum experience.
- High level of proficiency with Revit, Recap, and Navisworks required.
- Working knowledge of Autodesk Collections, Point Clouds, and Augmented/Virtual reality is desired.
- Experience in a multidiscipline environment, producing designs and BIM Coordination
- 20% travel will be required.
- Working knowledge of Microstation, Lumion, CADworx, CTC Tools, Revizto, Pointfuse, Procore, MS Project, and Bluebeam Revu is a plus.
Education
- Associates degree in Engineering, Computer-aided drafting, or equivalent (Required 2 Years)
- BS degree in Engineering or Architecture is considered a plus.
- Autodesk/BIM Certification a plus
