Virtual Chief Information Officer (vCIO) – Lyra Technology Group

Lyra Technology Group is seeking a vCIO for our OpCo, Altourage. As a vCIO, you will play a pivotal role in driving the strategic IT direction for our clients. This role will collaborate with our clients to understand business objectives, assessexisting IT infrastructure, and formulate solutions aligned with their organizational goals. This position offers a unique opportunity to work with clients ranging from 20 to 500+ employees in various industries.

Your work as a vCIO will include the following duties:

• Collaborate with clients to understand their business goals and challenges and develop customized IT strategies that drive efficiency and growth.

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' IT infrastructure, identifying opportunities for improvement and recommending optimized technology solutions.

• Lead risk management efforts by assessing cybersecurity threats, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and working with the vCISO to standardize security offerings.

• Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure high-quality service delivery that aligns with client needs.

• Oversee IT project implementations, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and in alignment with client expectations.

• Develop and manage IT budgets in collaboration with clients, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to meet strategic technology objectives.

• Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing strategic guidance on technology decisions and presenting quarterly business reviews (QBRs).

• Track client recommendations, propose solutions, and highlight risks associated with delayed technology implementations.

Our ideal vCIO has the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.

• Proven experience as a vCIO or similar role in an MSP or IT consulting environment, ideally 3+ years of experience in a leadership role prior.

• Strong expertise in IT systems, infrastructure, cloud migration, and cybersecurity.

• Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Azure Cloud, and virtualization technologies like VMware or Hyper-V.

• Excellent project management skills and the ability to lead cross-functional teams.

• Strong communication and client relationship management skills.

• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or ITIL are a plus.

The targeted base compensation for this role is up to $120,000-$130,000 per year and operates on FLEXIBLE hybrid schedule (1-2 times per quarter). PLEASE NOTE: We are only reviewing candidates along the East Coast, as we will require the candidate to be 2-3 hours by plane or train to New York City.
