As a Senior Enterprise Monitoring Systems Administrator at BAE Systems, you will be a core part of our team driving the availability, performance, and security of our enterprise systems and applications. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cutting-edge monitoring technologies, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and oversight to junior administrators, ensuring best practices in monitoring systems administration.
Strategic Monitoring: Develop and implement comprehensive monitoring strategies, aligning with organizational goals and objectives.
Troubleshooting and Resolution: Lead the troubleshooting and resolution of complex enterprise monitoring-related issues, collaborating with other senior administrators and stakeholders.
Reporting and Analytics: Develop and maintain advanced reporting and analytics capabilities, providing insights to stakeholders and driving informed decision-making.
Alerting and Notification: Design and implement alerting and notification systems, ensuring timely and effective communication to stakeholders.
System Maintenance and Upgrades: Plan and execute regular monitoring system checks, maintenance tasks, and upgrades, ensuring high availability and performance.
Customer Communication: Collaborate with customers to understand their monitoring needs, providing tailored solutions and support.
Documentation and Standards: Develop, maintain, and enforce monitoring procedures, configurations, and best practices, ensuring compliance with organizational standards.
On-Call Support: Participate in on-call rotation, providing 24/7 support for critical monitoring issues and incidents.

Requirements:
Advanced Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of monitoring technologies, including integration of like tools such as SolarWinds, ThousandEyes, Splunk Enterprise or similar.
Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and implement comprehensive monitoring strategies.
Excellent Communication: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with experience working with stakeholders at all levels.
Analytical and Problem-Solving: Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience troubleshooting complex issues.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalency of 4+ years of experience in monitoring and IT operations, with a focus on enterprise-level monitoring and a proven track record of leading monitoring initiatives.

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $86460 - $146982
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
