Lead and supervise a manufacturing value stream by developing production plans and work schedules, improving processes, ensuring HSE and quality compliance, coaching staff, and reporting performance to meet business objectives.

Production Planning Develop daily and weekly production plans for value streams to include resource planning and monitoring and reporting on performance against the plan.
Leadership and Direction Explain the local action plan, to support team members in their understanding of what needs to be done, and how this relates to the broader business plan and the organization's strategy, mission, and vision; motivate people to achieve local business goals.
Manufacturing Methods/Processes Development Identify shortcomings in existing manufacturing processes, systems, and procedures; develop methods and processes to address them.
Health, Safety, and Environment Follow the organization's health, safety, and environment (HSE) policies, procedures, and mandatory instructions to identify and mitigate environmental risks and risks to the well-being of self and others in the workplace; instruct the team in safe working methods; identify instances of risky behaviors within the team and take appropriate action, escalating serious issues as appropriate.
Quality Assurance Help management to implement quality assurance change initiatives and/or make continuous operational improvements.
Work Scheduling and Allocation Develop short- or medium-term work schedules in order to achieve planned commitments. Approve overtime or use additional resources as needed.
Operational Compliance Identify, within the team, instances of noncompliance with the organization's policies and procedures and/or relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct, reporting these instances and escalating issues as appropriate.
Performance Management Use the organization's formal development framework to identify the team's individual development needs. Plan and implement actions to build their capabilities. Provide training or coaching to others throughout the organization in own area of expertise to enable others to improve performance and fulfill personal potential.
Internal Communications Help others get the most out of internal communications systems by offering support and advice.
Improvement/Innovation Identify shortcomings in existing processes, systems, and procedures, and use established change management programs to address them.

Review and Reporting Works without supervision and provides technical guidance when required on reviewing and creating relevant, lucid and effective reports.
Verbal Communication Applies comprehensive knowledge to act independently while providing guidance and training to others on using clear and effective verbal communications skills to express ideas, request actions and formulate plans or policies.
Adaptive Mindset Works with full competence to shift into and out of a mental mindset associated with assessing the facts and circumstances of the current situation and/or environment and making the appropriate/innovative adjustments to thinking and work habits to thrive in any scenario. Skills Required

  • Short-cycle tertiary education
  • Over 3 to 6 years experience in manufacturing or operations
  • Supervisory or people management experience
  • Production planning and scheduling experience
  • Experience developing or improving manufacturing methods and processes
  • Knowledge and application of health, safety, and environment (HSE) policies
  • Quality assurance and continuous improvement experience
  • Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and oversee activities independently
  • Strong verbal communication, coaching, and training skills
  • Negotiation skills to obtain consensus between parties
