- The Launch Excellence Lead manages the Launch Excellence team and achieves the establishment of Launch Excellence pricetice in Japan.
- This role facilitates the successful launch of Pfizer breakthroughs in Japan, through cross-functional and global-local coordination as early as 3 years prior to launch to ensure that necessary steps (i.e., customer engagement, access plans, policy shaping) are taken ahead of time and properly resourced.
- This role builds market expertise in launch planning and execution by developing best practices and incorporating them into future asset launches.
- The Launch Excellence Lead ensures that Japan's Launch Excellence Team is aligned with the Global Launch Excellence Team.
Responsibilities
- Leads establishment of lanch excellence practice in Japan
- Partners with Country LT (TA leads, TA MA leads, DJ lead, and A&V lead) to prioritize launches across categories at the country/cluster level and coordinates resource allocation to support launch planning.
- Aligns with the global launch teams (Launch Navigation Group and Global DLPP Team) to exchange best-practices of launch excellence.
- Trains and coaches Launch Excellence Sr. Managers and secondment kolleagues from BUs to plan and execute launch preparation activites, and to develop their capabilities.
- Builds market expertise in launch planning and execution across BUs
- Encourages utilization of global tools, such as Digital Launch Planning Platform (DLPP), and resources by the global teams, to ensure consistent standards for launch preparation across BUs.
- Collects and establishes best practices for launch preparation activites.
- Incorporates new product planning into overall BU Cx experience plans working closely with H&V and Medical Launch team and/or respective BU medical teams.
- Facilitates the successful launch of Pfizer breakthroughs coordinating the cross-functional teams
- Leads the project management of new product launch preparations and coordinates the cross-functional teams (Cliniucal, Regulatory, Access, Marketing, Medical, PGS, Channel Strategy, IP, Legal, Compliance etc.) as early as 3 years prior to launch to ensure on-time execution.
- Serves as a conduit to a Global Asset Team, led by a Global Launch Operation Lead.
- Collaborates with medical/A&V (NPP, AS, Pricing, HEOR and RWE team) in the development of early engagement plans (KOLs, HCPs, PAGs, payers, patients), identification of local data generation needs and full understanding of the patient pathways to optimize and accelerate access.
- Ensures knowledge transfer to respective BU marketing team for smooth transition upon approval of commercialization.
Desired Skill Set
- Must have Experience and Competency
- Strong and rich experience in Japanese pharmaceutical product launches
- At least 3years of marketing experience as brand manager or above, with diverse experience outside marketing is a plus
- Experience in leading in global organisational, cross-functional environment successfully
- Fluency in both Japanese (native level) and English (business discussion, writing, reading)
- Project management experience is a plus (i.e., strategic consultancy)
