About the tasks :

As a Subcontract Administrator and as part of the Technip Energies-JGC Joint Venture (TJJV) team, you will be seconded to the TJJV offices in Maputo, Mozambique, for the entire duration of your VIE assignment. You will be responsible for the following activities:

  • Understanding the commercial management of Technip Energies Construction Contracts, with a particular focus on the CORAL NORTE project contracts related to logistics.
  • Assisting the local Contract Manager with the following tasks:
    • Monitoring and responding to change order / additional work requests.
    • Managing Cost and/or Extension of Time (EOT) claims submitted by or issued to subcontractors.
    • Monitoring monthly invoicing and payments to subcontractors.
    • Participating in weekly meetings with subcontractors.
    • Preparing the monthly construction contracts activity report.
    • Preparing contract amendments and change orders.
    • Monitoring and managing correspondence related to Construction Contracts.
    • Coordinating with other Project disciplines (Engineering, Construction, Procurement, etc.) to ensure, and where possible anticipate, that subcontractors are able to perform their work without disruption, thereby protecting the Company's interests against potential subcontractor claims.

About the Construction Contracts Department

  • The Subcontracts Department, within the Construction Division, is responsible for the procurement and administration of construction subcontracting contracts for all Technip Energies construction sites and projects.

    The department’s main responsibilities include:

    • Defining the subcontracting and partnership strategy for construction activities.
    • Preparing construction proposals and bids with the support of Technip Energies' various engineering disciplines.
    • Issuing Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and managing tendering processes.
    • Conducting technical, commercial, and contractual clarifications with bidding contractors.
    • Awarding and executing subcontract agreements.
    • Managing the contract administration of subcontract agreements, including:
      • Management of change orders and additional work requests.
      • Handling of subcontractor claims and disputes.
      • Monitoring contractual performance throughout the execution phase.
      • Supporting the completion of works and the contractual close-out of subcontract agreements.

About you :

  • Graduate from a general engineering school, with a strong desire to gain exposure to the execution of a major offshore LNG project.
  • Highly organized, rigorous, and team-oriented, with the ability to take initiative and respond proactively to operational needs.
  • Strong interest in contract management, commercial negotiations, and financial aspects of projects.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to address issues in a thoughtful, practical, and efficient manner.
  • Comfortable working in multicultural environments and collaborating with teams from diverse cultural and professional backgrounds.
  • Motivated, resilient, and committed, with a willingness to fully engage in a challenging site-based assignment.
  • Demonstrates adaptability, professionalism, and a positive attitude in a demanding project environment.
  • Excellent written and spoken English is required.
