Job Summary & Responsibilities
This role will own product language and support content for First Dollar, a subsidiary of Inspira Financial. They will report to the Content Strategy Manager on Marketing, and work closely with Design, Product, and Support. This is a new role, and will be the first role whose primary responsibility is the words we use in the product. We offer a suite of software tools and APIs that enable organizations to launch and manage pre-tax accounts (like an HSA), lifestyle benefits, rewards programs, and supplemental benefits.
The Team:
The First Dollar Marketing team includes our content manager, lifecycle manager, and team director. Our backgrounds include early-stage tech, well-known consumer brands, and non-marketing roles like teaching. We enjoy collaboration and feedback, as well as trying to understand what the engineers meant to say. We look forward to learning from your expertise. We work closely with the many other operations teams, which include Support and Implementation. This role will also collaborate closely with Design and Product, serving as a glue between Marketing, Product, and Design teams.
Responsibilities:
- Champion the First Dollar voice across all product touchpoints, simplifying language for benefits.
- Cut through industry jargon and acronyms to simplify benefits with language people understand.
- Craft concise, purposeful copy that helps users navigate and achieve their goals within our product ecosystem.
- Collaborate closely with Product and Design leads to create helpful support content for new features.
- Create new help centers and manage our support content in Intercom to maintain one source of truth and ensure partner admins, employer admins, and employees access content in the appropriate branded experience.
- Uphold our brand standards and keep language consistent across the entire Benefit Suite.
- Build and evolve our content style guide, setting and maintaining the standards for ourselves and the industry.
- Work directly in Figma to integrate copy into designs.
- Proactively spot content opportunities and turn them into user experience improvements.
Preferred Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in Journalism, Communications, English, or Design.
- 2-4 years of experience.
- A certificate in Content Design or UX Writing.
- Industry experience with FSAs, HRAs, HSAs, LSAs, and Commuter benefits.
- A portfolio that demonstrates your ability to simplify the complex.
- Experience with Figma and Intercom.
- Have proven experience in UX writing and/or content design.
- Excel at translating complex concepts into straightforward language that humans understand.
- Have navigated writing for different user types and scenarios within software applications.
- Can explain the why and how of completed work.
- Can point to examples where you've developed and implemented content guidelines.
Compensation & Benefits
$58,000-$75,000 per year
