Design intuitive digital experiences that make a real impact in the energy transition.
As our next UX Designer, you’ll help shape intuitive, user-friendly digital experiences across our product landscape - from next-generation user interfaces for room units and thermostats to mobile applications used by HVAC installers in the field.
You’ll work as a dedicated User Experience Designer across product teams in our Digital and Controls (DaC) Development Unit. Here, you will partner closely with developers and product owners to turn user needs into practical, elegant solutions that actually get used in the real world. You take ownership of your designs - from understanding user behaviour to translating it into clear flows, interactions, and prototypes.
At the same time, you’ll be part of a UX/UI team, where you can connect with other designers, exchange ideas, and continue to learn.
In this role, you’ll typically contribute to 2 to 3 product teams, giving you variety and the opportunity to quickly build experience across different domains. You’ll work within an established design system and have space to develop your own ideas and approach.
Your role is hybrid, based in Apeldoorn, the Netherlands. We value flexibility and collaboration: you are encouraged to spend 1–2 days per week in our office while enjoying the support for your home office set-up and travel costs.
As our products are used across different markets, you may occasionally travel to international locations to conduct user research and gain first-hand insights into how your designs are used in practice.
Understand user needs by conducting interviews, surveys, and competitor analysis to uncover insights that shape your solutions.
Design intuitive experiences by creating user flows, wireframes, and both low- and high-fidelity prototypes for new features and improvements.
Test and improve your designs by running usability tests, identifying pain points, and iterating based on real user feedback.
Work closely with your product teams - including developers and product owners - as well as other stakeholders to bring ideas to life.
Translate insights into structure by developing personas and mapping user journeys to guide design decisions.
Around 1-2 years of relevant experience (or you are a strong starter with relevant university projects or internships).
A solid understanding of usability, accessibility, and interaction design principles.
Experience with design tools such as Figma.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate user feedback and data into clear design improvements.
The confidence to present your ideas and clearly explain design decisions to stakeholders in English.
A user-centric mindset: you bring empathy and a structured approach to solving complex user problems.
A Bachelor’s Degree in UX, Communication & Multimedia Design, or similar.
Interest in or experience with technical or engineering environments.
A permanent contract.
In addition to a competitive salary, you will receive a strong pension package.
Enjoy a healthy work-life balance with 36 holiday days per year (based on a full-time contract). Of these, 30 days are freely selectable, and 6 are fixed company closure days.
Benefit from flexible hybrid working policies, a home-office budget, and the tools you need to do your best work - including a laptop and mobile phone.
Enjoy discounts on our products and insurance packages.
