The Job
-Over the past 18 months, we’ve been integrating user-centred design into the BigChange software development lifecycle, building our design system (Highway), and laying the foundations for a frontend transformation.
As we scale and modernise our platform across both web and mobile, we’re looking for a Product Designer to help us continue raising the bar.
This is a Hybrid-working role, where you would be expected to attend the Leeds office 3-4 times per month.
What You’ll Do
You’ll be someone who enjoys simplifying the complex, crafting thoughtful user experiences, and collaborating closely with engineers and product managers.
You’ll join a small, supportive team with big ambitions — helping shape the tools, processes and practices that support great design and developer experience.
What You’ll Bring
Solid commercial experience as a Product Designer
Comfortable designing for both Web and/or Mobile
Strong visual and interaction design skills, with a focus on clarity and usability
Able to run end-to-end design work — from framing problems to shipping designs
Comfortable using AI tools creatively to speed up workflows, explore ideas, and improve output
Experience using research and data to inform design decisions
Expert knowledge of design and prototyping tools like Figma or Adobe XD (Figma preferred)
Experience working with component libraries or design systems
Strong collaboration skills — able to work closely with engineers, PMs and others
A mindset that values iteration, feedback and continuous improvement
Bonus: Experience in B2B or SaaS
Bonus: Understanding of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
