We’re looking for a User Experience Designer to help shape intuitive and engaging customer experiences that resonate with users and support our business goals. In this role, you’ll champion user-centered design, ensuring every touchpoint is rooted in real user needs and accessible to all. You’ll bring design thinking to life — facilitating workshops, co-creating with co-workers, stakeholders, and partners. You’ll help foster a culture of experimentation and continuous improvement across the team. Your crafted work will inspire others and set the bar for what great design looks and feels like in the connected home.
You’ll join a diverse team of talented co-workers in the IoT (Internet of Things) product area.
Responsibilities:
- Support the UX Team Manager in creating future UX strategies and create aspirational concepts for north star user experiences.
- Be able to set and communicate a clear UX direction while nurturing and encouraging team growth.
- Use data and research to inform and validate design choices, balancing creativity with usability to ensure delight and function.
- Collaborate closely with Digital Product Leaders, UX Designers, and Software Engineers. Collecting input about user needs, business needs and technological capabilities from stakeholders.
- Challenge existing solutions by driving meaningful innovation and creativity throughout the development cycle.
- Encourage stakeholders to prioritize solutions that are beneficial for the user, the society, and the planet.
To be successful in this role, we expect you have
- 5+ years of experience as a designer working on innovative digital solutions(app focus), familiar with modern digital and physical product development processes.
- Demonstrate skills in storytelling, design thinking, composing user journeys, running usability tests, and other UX best practices.
- Showcase a portfolio of case studies, or similar, to highlight your expertise.
- Have a university-level education in Interaction Design or equivalent.
- Previous IKEA experience and knowledge of IoT will be a plus.
This is a full-time position based in Malmö, with occasional travel to Älmhult as needed for business purposes, in this recruitment, there is no relocation support provided by Inter IKEA.
