User Experience Design Intern

Start your career by joining a thriving, successful team enabling innovation within the financial services industry. Apex is seeking an intern to join the Technology team. As a member of this team, you'll have a large impact on the firm by adding your User Experience Design experience to our organization and employees, in a rapidly growing environment. Additionally, our diverse business streams affords you the unique opportunity to grow across a variety of verticals, engaging you in unique challenges, proje cts, and technologies.
To be considered, you must be able to commit to a 10-week hybrid internship and work 40 hours per week during our summer program.
The skills you'll need to succeed:

  • Be currently enrolled in a full-time Bachelor's degree program in Computer Science or other related major (Design, Human-Interface Design, UX Design). Junior or Senior standing preferred.
  • Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • UX interest/focus
  • Ability to gather and analyze data and perform process analysis
  • Ability to build wireframes, clickable prototypes using Figma or Axure RP and visual design
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, design and product marketing and being able to understand and identify the end users problems and how to solve it by design
  • Experience with u ser testing, user interviews, and validation


Preferred skills:

  • Relevant work experience or work experience in a professional environment (e.g. internships, summer positions, school jobs, etc.)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365
