We need a User Researcher to join us in Boston.
We are looking for an expereinced User Researcher to help us redefine how insurance works for the entrepreneurs and small business owners who are the lifeblood of the US economy.
You will lead research in a fast-paced, cross-functional and innovation-driven environment.
You will be joining our highly skilled user research team, whose mission is to drive customer and business value through high quality, high impact user research. The user research function sits within our talented global Customer Experience Team (UK & US) alongside the Customer Insight and UX Product Design functions.
As a User Researcher, you will:
- Identify the most impactful research opportunities. You will align research questions with customer opportunities, business objectives and market challenges, demonstrating a deep understanding of the desired success metrics.
- Design and execute user research of the highest quality. You will define clear learning goals and hypotheses, select appropriate methodologies, and analyze findings with integrity.
- Deliver clear and actionable recommendations. You will regularly communicate strongly evidenced next steps to a variety of collaborators and stakeholders.
- Leverage existing data. You will proactively utilise customer data from various sources (customer insight, NPS, CSAT) in order to make informed research decisions.
- Maintain pace and agility. You will prioritise the most pertinent research needs and set accurate expectations your colleagues can confidently rely on.
- Demonstrate high agency. You will proactively address limitations, explore alternatives to blockers, and adapt to challenges.
- Contribute to the research function’s practice. You will participate in the team’s peer review practice, support UX Product Designers with their research projects, and bring relevant news about developments in our field.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has at least 2 years of experience as a user researcher
- Can effectively advocate for the customer while balancing business needs and constraints
- Is comfortable collaborating with a variety of departments (digital product, data, commercial, marketing) and building strong relationships to influence decision-making
- Has a passion for product discovery and a desire to experiment with different approaches
- Is a lifelong learner, who is committed to deepening their skills as a researcher
- Possesses a proactive and results-oriented mindset, and is capable of working independently and as part of a team
- Experience in a growth-focused company would be beneficial but not essential
