Over the past few years Acrisure has expanded both organically and through M&A. The tax department has now reached a point where a US Tax Manager is needed to support the growing business.
Job Description Summary
The US Tax Manager will be pivotal in the corporate tax function, primarily engaging in the Company’s domestic tax compliance and tax provision. You will also be assisting the Vice President – Tax with developing tax strategy, creating governance, and executing process improvements. The ideal candidate must have a strong commitment to excellence, be a team player, and enjoy working in a fast-paced, growing environment.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:

Manage the U.S. federal and state income tax return process with outside firm, including reviewing/preparing supporting tax calculations and gathering relevant data

Review and prepare various aspects of the quarterly and annual tax provision, analysis of tax accounts, and reserves, including calculating book-to-tax adjustments and return-to-provision adjustments

Maintain tax calendar and ensure timely completion of US tax filings and estimated tax payments

Provide advice, direction and support to resolve technical tax/accounting issues

Responsible for monitoring legislative and regulatory tax law developments and analyze/interpret changes to federal tax laws and its impact to the tax return and/or financial statements

Review the annual extension and quarterly estimated tax payment process

Identify, develop, and implement US tax planning opportunities

Proactively identify and implement process improvements that promote efficiency and accuracy

Forecast domestic cash tax for long range business plan

Assist in developing and implementing processes and procedures to meet internal control requirements

Support research and resolution of various federal and state income and non-income tax audits and notices
-
Communicate and develop relationship with business unit finance personnel as well as outside consultants and financial statement auditors

Lead and mentor tax team member(s), including providing guidance and support to ensure ongoing development

Be able to challenge the status quo and build processes and implement improvements
Qualifications
-
5+ years of tax compliance experience
-
BS/BA in accounting or finance
-
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
-
Strong knowledge of OneSource Provision software or aptitude to be trained
-
Knowledge of U.S. corporation taxation in a global structure
-
Effective verbal and written communication skills
-
Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
-
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Willingness to pivot and learn
