In this role, you will provide legal counsel, oversee the preparation and filing of employment-based nonimmigrant and immigrant petitions, and help ensure consistent, high-quality client service.

You will serve as a trusted advisor to clients and their employees, helping them navigate immigration processes with clarity, empathy, and efficiency while delivering high-quality legal services supported by leading technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day U.S. business immigration client engagements, ensuring accurate, timely, and effective service delivery.

  • Provide subject matter expertise on U.S. immigration law and respond thoughtfully to client and internal questions using sound legal judgment.

  • Translate complex legal concepts into clear, practical, and actionable guidance for corporate clients and employees navigating U.S. immigration processes.

  • Analyze agency developments, immigration trends, and client circumstances to provide practical recommendations and solutions.

  • Represent Vialto Law in client discussions with professionalism, empathy, and a commitment to quality service.

  • Support business development activities through thought leadership, client presentations, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

  • Coach and mentor team members while supporting a collaborative environment focused on learning, development, and shared success.

  • Use data and reporting to monitor case progress, inform legal strategy, and support compliance with firm standards.

  • Stay current on developments in U.S. immigration law and share relevant insights with clients and colleagues.

  • Uphold Vialto Law’s code of ethics and commitment to professional and client service standards.

Qualifications

  • For the Senior Associate level, typically at least 6 years of relevant U.S. business immigration experience; for the Manager level, typically at least 8 years of relevant experience.

  • Experience with U.S. business immigration matters including H-1B, L-1, TN, PERM, employment-based immigrant petitions, and adjustment of status filings.

  • Licensed and admitted to practice law in at least one U.S. state or the District of Columbia.

  • Experience supervising, mentoring, or providing guidance to attorneys, analysts, or other legal team members handling complex immigration matters.

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced professional environment.

  • Interest in using technology and innovation to improve client and employee experiences.

  • Familiarity with project management approaches and an adaptable, collaborative working style.

  • Commitment to continuous learning and openness to using tools such as Vialto’s myMobility mobile app and staying informed through resources such as our Mobility Moments and Mobility Brand content on LinkedIn.

Additional Information

  • Employment Type: Regular / Full Time

  • San Diego Office: 1420 Kettner Blvd., San Diego, CA 92101

  • Work Arrangement: Hybrid, with an expected 3–5 days per week in the office

  • Compensation Range: $125,000–$166,000

Compensation is determined based on a variety of factors, including geographic location, relevant experience, education, and overall qualifications.

Skills Required

  • 6+ years (Senior Associate) or 8+ years (Manager) U.S. business immigration experience including H-1B, L-1, TN, PERM, employment-based immigrant petitions, and AOS filings.
  • Licensed and admitted to practice law in any U.S. state or the District of Columbia.
  • Strong subject matter expertise in U.S. immigration law with ability to address client and internal queries confidently and with sound judgment.
  • Experience managing legal teams or supervising junior attorneys/analysts on complex immigration matters.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with project management approaches and a collaborative, adaptable work style.
  • Interest in leveraging technology and innovation to enhance client and employee experiences.
  • Committed to continuous learning and openness to using tools such as Vialto's myMobility mobile app and industry content channels.
