Summary
The Upgrade Assembly Trainer is a Production Operator who specializes in training new Production Operators to assemble a variety of plumbing parts and components to ensure they are ready to be shipped as well as operates and services a variety of production machines within an Assemble-to-Order work environment.
Responsibilities
- Helps maintain a safe environment by reporting any issues or concerns and giving associates feedback on safety adherence.
- Serves as primary trainer for the line including providing hands-on training, document reviews and signoffs.
- Introduces new associates to co-workers, Team Lead, and Manager.
- Communicates with team members, including Team Leads and Production Managers, to develop teamwork in the trainees.
- Trains from detailed instructions such as Operational Method Sheets (OMS) and Customer Orders.
- Mentors trainees on work practices, rules, and norms required to successfully integrate into the Moen team.
- Responds patiently to questions.
- Assists trainees in contacting resources for assistance during onboarding.
- Evaluates and provides accurate input to Production Managers concerning the ability of trainees to perform successfully.
- Provides required reports on a timely basis.
- Reports any concerns with the line such as but not limited to lack of materials, equipment issues, maintenance needs, product concerns, personnel issues, etc., to the Team Lead or Supervisor for the area.
- Responsible for other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
- Minimum of 1 month of related experience and/or training is required or must possess an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to flex (move to another work station as required) as well as flex to all jobs on the Assemble-to-Order line.
- Ability to work in a team and use own time efficiently.

Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is Hiring Pay Range: $33,300 USD - $41,184 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based sales incentive plan.
