At Vicar's Landing, our nursing leaders help shape the quality of care that residents receive every day. As a Unit Manager (RN), you'll provide clinical leadership for a Skilled Nursing unit while supporting care operations across our Health Services community.
In this role, you'll lead a team of dedicated caregivers, coordinate resident care, support quality initiatives, and serve as a trusted resource for residents, families, and staff. Clinical Leadership & Resident Care
- Lead the day-to-day clinical operations of a Skilled Nursing unit serving up to 30 residents
- Coordinate resident care and ensure appropriate communication among residents, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members
- Monitor changes in resident condition and ensure prompt, appropriate clinical intervention
- Assist with admissions, discharges, transfers, and care transitions
- Support development and implementation of individualized care plans
- Serve as a clinical resource and mentor for nursing staff
- Partner with residents and families to ensure exceptional service and care experiences
- Foster positive relationships with physicians, therapists, pharmacy providers, and interdisciplinary teams
- Promote teamwork and effective communication across all departments
- Assist in resolving concerns and ensuring resident satisfaction
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations as well as facility policies and procedures
- Review documentation, physician orders, assessments, and progress notes for accuracy and completeness
- Monitor reports related to infection control, medication management, quality measures, and risk reduction
- Participate in audits, quality improvement initiatives, and root cause analyses
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and collaborate with leadership on solutions
- Support orientation, competency evaluations, and ongoing staff education
- Assist with clinical training and in-service programs
- Reinforce infection prevention practices, hand hygiene, PPE use, and safety standards
- Encourage professional growth and accountability among team members

Must Have Skills
- Active Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current CPR certification
- Strong knowledge of long-term care, skilled nursing, and healthcare regulations

- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities
- Proficiency with clinical documentation and electronic health records
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience in Skilled Nursing, Long-Term Care, or Assisted Living
- Experience with infection prevention, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance
- Experience with staff education and mentoring
- Knowledge of quality measures and risk management programs
