About your role:
Credit Risk teams at Fiserv help protect the business by evaluating risk, supporting sound decisioning, and maintaining operational controls across client and merchant activities.
In this role, you will supervise a credit risk operations team responsible for day-to-day workflow execution, decision quality, and adherence to risk and compliance standards. You will help drive consistent risk-based outcomes, operational performance, and team development in support of business objectives.
What you will do
- Lead and develop an assigned credit risk operations team, which may include risk investigations, underwriting, triage, merchant review, or related workflows.
- Oversee daily workload, queue management, service levels, quality standards, and business objectives to ensure timely and accurate risk decisions.
- Coach and mentor team members, providing performance feedback, decisioning guidance, and support for career growth and development.
- Review escalated cases and complex risk scenarios, helping teams apply policies, procedures, and sound judgment to support consistent outcomes.
- Analyze operational and risk performance trends, identify root causes, and implement solutions that improve quality, efficiency, and control effectiveness.
- Partner with internal stakeholders across credit risk, operations, sales, compliance, and product teams to resolve issues, optimize processes, and support strategic initiatives.
- Maintain a strong focus on risk management, regulatory compliance, policy adherence, and operational excellence.
What you need to know
- 6–8 years of experience in credit risk operations, underwriting, Triage, merchant risk, financial risk review, or related risk operations within financial services, payments, or fintech environments.
- Experience leading teams that support merchant onboarding, underwriting, credit review, fraud review, or risk investigations.
Experience that would be great to have:
- Experience supporting process improvements, quality programs, or operational control enhancements.
- Experience partnering with compliance, sales, product, and operations leaders on risk-related initiatives.
- Ability to provide structured coaching, escalation guidance, and decision consistency across a frontline risk team.
